I recently was told by someone that Cardiff has over one hundred parks within its city limits. Now, I will admit that I'm a little dubious as to as a fact, but when you start looking around, they really are everywhere!
Sevenoaks I first spotted from the train travelling in to Cardiff from Penarth, and for a a couple of months I saw I that way nearly every day. Then, one sunny afternoon after a Bank Holiday weekend full of rain (of course) the whole world seemed to be full of daisies, so I got off the train at Grangetown and enjoyed a short stroll through the park. Finally.
I say it was a short stroll because this little patch of greenery really isn't very big, but it's a pleasant enough space for recreational and relaxation purposes.
The only problem with this park, however, is that it's quite clearly used a lot by dog owners in the area. Fortunately, any foul play (get it?) is kept close to the edges, to the large expanses on grass are kept pretty clean. Just watch out. read more
