Our girls love and look forward every week to the Kidz Zone where they learn about God through fun activities and interaction with other children. My husband and I love the pastor's down to earth preaching / teaching and his focus on being disciples. We also love the worship team whose musical talents bring praise to a new level. We also love the events and opportunities to be part of the community, especially the Lifegroup concept which brings us into fellowship and Bible study each week with families like ours.

I enjoyed how much scripture was taught and cross referenced by the pastor. The music is contemporary and was well planned to go with the teachings and it started services and ended services which I loved. The greeting on our way up the drive was nice - a sweet couple keeping dry and warm standing at the trunk of their car under their tailgate. And again in the parking lot, which was pretty full! The kids ministry was friendly and understanding of those wanting to keep their kids with them. They were introducing quite a few new deacons for their church this morning and it was wonderful to see and hear how their leadership is taught to serve. Jesus was the center, the heart, and the message for the whole visit. We will be back the next time we're in town.

I hadn't been to church in quite a while. I decided it was time to start looking for one because it would probably take me a long time to find a good one. Kelly and Jessica just came up to me while I was getting out of the rain. They invited me back and told me about the church member services they offer as well as information about the church. Now, the car show they were having was out in the parking lot and I enjoyed seeing the cars. I even talked to some of the owners who were sociable. In regret, the fireworks show was cancelled because of rain but they took my number and promised to call me when rescheduled. The church also was selling food plates for only one dollar. I would have tried it if it wasn't for me just eating dinner at Champys. But, it looked like a good deal with hot dogs, chips and etc. In summary, this is a southern baptist church and I want to come back and visit not only for morning worship but for other reasons. There is some history to be discovered here that will prove quiet interesting.

Written by my daughter who attended 8th grade at NGCA: The…read morebullying at NGCA is awful. It's incredibly cliquish. The popular girls and unruly boys are completely rude to new students. They don't accept all Christians that don't fit into their mold (i.e. Catholic). The curriculum (Bob Jones University) is not founded in Truth and teaches unfounded fallacies about Catholicism saying Catholics are demonic. They teach the Earth is 7k years old, despite Science proving otherwise. The kids used racial slurs constantly and a girl pulled my hair, tripped me, another pushed her desk into my chair, and others would just stare at me creepily. Another threw something at me, another showed a YouTube video in class to somehow make fun of me. The teacher did very little to stop it and the Administrator did NOTHING. The boys were relentless in name calling and the Administrator, Mrs. Pierce's response, instead of addressing it, claimed they bullied me because they liked me. When I went to her about the girls, she'd respond "Oh I don't believe that, she's so sweet." I felt unsafe and uncomfortable almost every day. Many of the kids cuss and talk inappropriately. The Administrator, Mrs. Pierce, in my opinion, plays favorites and also breaks the rules by communicating with students via text without including parents. A girl on my bus bragged about it constantly. The families who donate a lot of money and the families that have been there since the start get a pass on bad behavior & are definitely put on a pedestal. The campus is beautiful but that's it. Many of the adults and teachers, if they weren't nice in the beginning of the year, grew kind as they got to know me. For the most part, I feel the students are bigoted, and racist bullies that don't know how to act Christian. Don't waste your money at this school.

Having moved from south Florida and a private Christian school that my husband, our children (5 and…read more9), and I deeply loved, we feared we may not find a new school in or around Ellijay that would measure up. Enrolled since August 2023, NGCA has not only lived up to our expectations but has surpassed them. NGCA's administrative staff, teachers and others who work there who we have met are loving and kind with God at the center of all they do. The curriculum and materials used are top quality and activities are well done and meaningful. Our girls terribly missed their old school at first but quickly fell in love with NGCA. We highly recommend the school to all who want the very best God-centered learning and environment for their children.
