After calling them to see if the pieces were ready, we came back to glaze our pieces. We were met by Kyle, who was rude from the moment we walked in. They told us to just pick a color off a clipboard and they will do it for us. When we asked if we can do it ourselves, Kyle was dismissive and made us feel bad for wanting to do something we looked forward to doing.

However, once you see all the work done in classes you will want to take a class and that's okay, they will pause your membership while you take a class.

Olivia was the instructor and she was super hands on and very helpful. You get to make 2 pieces and, trust me, you will use the entire 2 hours. The time flew by! I can't wait to go back and pick up the pieces to see how they turned out. This place is definitely a gem of St. Pete's arts and creative scene.

For those who don't know what a…read morepaint and sip is (a lot don't)- basically a business, like Painting With A Twist, has paint classes everyday where you pay admission per person and each class you are taught step by step how to create a specific painting. If you are of age, you have the option of bringing alcohol to sip as you paint, but you totally don't have to. Some places provide the alcohol, but this specific location at least is byob (bring your own beer). Seriously, even if you aren't an artistically inclined or creative person taking a painting class can still be a ton of fun. My dad is not artistic at all, doesn't have an artistic bone in his body really and he knows it, and he still had a ton of fun in the class and learned a lot. Plus, you have an instructor who walks you through how to paint small step by small step, and if you have questions they walk around and will help you correct things as well, so you really have as much guidance as you want, or not. As our hilarious instructor Scott said, "This is FUN art, not FINE art." This really was a ton of fun and i'm for sure going to take more classes in the future, it was the best night and Scott our instructor really helped to make it all the more fun!

Brenda, John and the 3rd woman there (I feel so bad I don't remember her name) were awesome and helped us every step of the way. We were a little slow getting our projects done and they let us stay an hour later to get them done and even jumped in to help us! We felt so bad because they were closing but they never let us feel badly about it and were so supportive and helpful the entire way though! We each made 3 mini plank trays. They give you stencils and explain the different looks you can achieve as you go. As someone who isn't artistic at all these came out amazing! We plan on taking the weaving blankets class soon.
