Attended an event on Thursday evening hosted by BCR Wealth at Sew Sheri Designs. Great store and loved talking to Sheri! She taught us how to make a few different holiday decorations. I talked to her about coming back with some items I need help with on my March wedding. I look forward to my next visit! read more

Do not waste your money getting custom pieces made at Sew Sheri. I had Sheri make some pillows for me. The quality of her work is very poor. All of the pillows she made had seam lines showing that should not be seen. I took the pillows back to her to fix and she said she fixed them but did not. She also made my pillows the wrong size and refused to redo them. She said she would charge me $10 more than I had originally paid her to make them if I wanted her to redo them. The worst customer service I have ever experienced! read more

I went in to Sew Sheri several weeks ago and asked for a quote for two roman shades. I gave her my measurements and she gave me the quote. I ordered the roman shades and was called and told they were ready about 7 weeks later (I was told it would take 4-6 weeks) . When I came back, she told me they would cost $170 more than what I was quoted. When I questioned this, she told me the first quote was just an estimate, and I should have known that the shade mechanism was not included in her quote. After going back and forth, she told me she didn't know what I wanted her to do, she certainly couldn't pay for that. I told her I wanted her to honor the quote she gave me, but she refused. She was unkind, unhelpful and very rude. And when I told her she had lost my business and I didn't know how she stayed in business treating customers this way, she said, "well, we've been doing fine here for quite some time." I would NOT recommend her to anyone! read more

Sew Sheri Designs began as a drapery workroom. Over the years it has grown slowly to include a drapery workroom, drapery hardware, slipcovers, pillows and custom bedding.

I started Sew Sheri Designs in 1994 after having my children. I wanted to be a stay at home mom and retire from nursing. I offer a full service drapery workroom, custom furniture slipcovers and custom bedding. My second business Dorm Suite Dorm was created in 2007 to offer quality dorm bedding options.Through my businesses I have been able to raise my boys and live my dream!

The first time I came here was to help my grandmother get supplies to make a christening gown for my daughter. The people in here are so friendly and helpful and produce some amazing looking items. My wife and I were gifted a smocking class by family and gave us a different experience with them than what you normally have with a retail store. And yes, I did take a smocking class... and it was a blast! The teacher really helped us learned the strategies and was great about it when we made mistakes (which is bound to happen). It was a fun experience that we have not utilized the benefits of to its fullest potential. Anything else we have needed, the staff here has given great assistance. Any time we need fabric or have questions, the Smocking Bird is our go-to place to visit.
