I did not realize that each of these locations was sold off to individual owners several years ago…read morebut they each kept the name. So when a friend recommended here after having her wedding dress taken down several dress sizes, I didn't realize she went to a different location with an entirely different seamstress. I had dropped off 10 simple summer dresses to have pockets added. I specified that I wanted them to fit my phone. She took measurements of my phone, which I stated they'd need to be much deeper and so she measured the pockets on the dress I was currently wearing which were perfect. I believe it was around 9" deep. I paid upfront and she gave me a pick up of 4.5 weeks later. (Not great but whatever.) Came to pick up, and was told she only had 2 dresses done, come back in 3 days. Came back again, and she only and 6 dresses done, come back in another 6 days. So well over 5 weeks later and I finally get my dresses back. 8 of the 19 pockets (yes, 19 because one dress had a zipper and she claimed she couldn't put a pocket on that side) have holes in them. Some of the pockets even have 2-3 holes. Absolutely none of the pockets are anywhere deep enough to safely hold my phone and are all about the same size as my hand, and my phone is larger than my hand. When I wore one of them, my phone hung halfway out and repeatedly fell onto the floor at the slightest movement. There are loose strings everywhere and it appears she just cut the fabric of my dresses instead of unstitching the seam to add the pockets. (Maybe this is me being picky but it seems much more professional and cleaner to unstitch the seam and that is the way I have personally done it when I've added pockets.) She also didn't reinforce the pockets and clean them up with a line of stitching around the opening. (Again, maybe I'm being picky but they should be reinforced and it makes for a cleaner look as it tucks the pocket fabric into the dress more.) I'm just so disappointed overall and I will honestly have to fix the majority of them before I can even wear them. I have added pockets to dresses myself and am a pretty good seamstress but I just do not have the time and thought it would be worth the investment to just pay someone, with more skills than I, to do it. Clearly I was mistaken.
