After going to a wine bar, my girlfriend and I wanted to keep the drinking going. Since we were going back to her house, we stopped by SF Room Service last Wednesday, May 3rd around 8:30pm. We had quite a bit to drink before stopping by, so my time here is a little hazy. I know we picked up a bottle of red (maybe a cabernet sauvignon?). I'm a huge candy lover, so when I saw they had haribo candy from other countries, I had to get a bag. Ended up with the German Haribo Pico-Balla. This place is amazing! Being 420 friendly, there is no other delivery service more convenient then this one! Estimating at $5 delivery fee, $30 minimum with tip, its totally worth the convenience. Its also safer for those under the influence of anything and shouldnt be driving. They also deliver alcohol. Which is perfect because you can have them deliver chasers as well. They ran out of a certain item but called to inform me and I just replaced it with another item. The delivery was less than an hour. read more

What a great experience! So my credit cards all had to be changed... I get sick... the kind of sick where you really, really, cannot get up. So I check out instacart. No PayPal integration! PayPal isn't working on Uber Eats. It is working on Eat 24 but I can't find anyone that carries just snacks and liquids. Now, I know I could call my friends to bring me stuff but I'm stubborn and I think you only call in a favor like that when you are too sick to move! But I am too tired for the store. So I listlessly browse for too salty foods on Eat 24 just praying that I could get something mildly healthy... That's when I see this store and I literally jump for joy! I was very satisfied with the service because it was a very short notice.Its was a great choice for the delivery of beer, wine, spirits. l have recommended them to a friend and he opened a corporate with SF room service and they delivered his kegs of Chilled Wine and Beer and Nitro Cold Brew Coffee (Verve) for his offices. The delivery arrived on schedule with all the equipment they need to set up the kegs. We were dealing with Angus . He was both very professional and organized. They went with his recommendation for the Craft Beers they said that they were very satisfied with the choices he recommends. I am very happy with SF Room Service and so far . The prices are very good for the service they offered. Last moment I need a special bottle for one of our employees that was retiring that day . He was able to provide us with a several choices of aged Whiskeys and Bourbons and delivered that to us at a moments notice. I'm delighted to recommend . Don't you just hate it when you just wanna swing by a store and pick up a 6-pack on the way back from work, but you end up there for half an hour sampling different craft brews, perusing the vast selection of beer, and shooting the shit with the staff? I sure don't, and for that reason I love SF Room Service! Every time I go, I find something new and exciting to bring home, and I'm nearly always offered a bit of some new arrival to sip on while I browse. The staff are always super friendly and knowledgeable too, and are eager to help you narrow down the library of beers to find just the one you're feeling. Beyond the bonkers beer selection, they also have a lot of different whiskeys, wines, mixers, and snacks. They don't have much else in the way of spirits, but they have the basic vodkas, rums, gins, and tequilas to get your party going. Also, free delivery in the Sunset! Speaking of, one time I ordered some agave syrup for margaritas and the owner called me saying she didn't have any in stock, but offered to have her drivers check out grocery stores all over the city looking for it. When three or four places came up empty, she picked some up from the store herself on the way home from work and had it sent to me the next morning. I was a little disappointed that they didn't mark the agave as being out of stock on the website, but her above-and-beyond response to the issue more than made up for it. This company graciously offered to donate 4 cases of wine and an hour of wine pouring for a fundraising event in order to promote the business to local community members in the Sunset. The event had expectations of about 200-300 adults. The event was held at St. Anne's, which is a venue (1) located about five blocks from this business, and (2) used by many organizations for events like this. The event started at 6:00 pm. At about 6:20 pm, the word started circulating among those of us who were volunteering to put on the event: SF Room Service was not coming because they "could not find the place". Feel free to google the distance between their address and St. Anne's location at Judah and Funston. One of the volunteers left the event to go to SF Room Service's location to get the wine since, of course, we had depended on their representation of donating wine for the event and we needed that wine. This volunteer was only given *one* case of wine instead of the promised four. So: no service as promised. One case out of four promised. SF Room Service you have certainly promoted your business but I doubt it is the type of publicity you wanted. Everyone who attended was made aware of this and we have also shared this experience with our friends who are organizers for other events on an annual basis. read more

Threw a party last night at my friend's house. I thought I would try the local alcohol beverage delivery service. SF Room Service came up first so we thought we'd give it a try. Our party was to start in about an hour. I called the phone number on the site and asked for confirmation that we would be able to accept delivery on my order so as to not let our party go dry. The person on the phone estimated it would be a little over an hour. I subsequently placed an order for 2 packs of beer and a glass of wine. I even followed up after 5 minutes to confirm the order was received since the person on the phone said there's sometimes a 5 min delay before the order arrives there at their store. 45 minutes later, I got a call from their delivery person. I was pretty happy until he indicated that he was at my billing address, and not the delivery address. I explained to him that I was painfully careful to type the delivery address correctly... I know this because I had my Norwegian friend repeat it about 3 times to me as I was entering it into the delivery box on their website. He was frustrated and said that he had other orders so it would be a while before he gets to the correct delivery address. About an hour later, I called SF Room Service to inquire about my order. The person on the phone said that while we were speaking, that the delivery person was just at that moment returning there to the store with my order. I asked him to please sort what had happened out and to please expedite my order, or to please provide us something of similar value since we were counting on that delivery. He told me he'd call me back. 10 minutes later he called to notify me that the delivery person would not expedite and that we would have to wait another hour for him to try again. I asked him to refund me for the order. Now, it's the next morning. In my email, there are no indications that he issued a refund. Fortunately, I paid via PayPal and PayPal has pretty good tools for filing a claim for my dispute. Unfortunately I just don't think the people behind this company really care what anyone thinks. They clearly botched my order and it rather than make it right, they basically flipped me the bird with how they handled it. Overall, terrible customer service experience. Can't get much worse. Thank God they don't have my cc number. Seems like a poorly operated attempt at cloning Booze Carriage in NYC. read more

Bless you, SF Room Service. I've lived in San Francisco for less than a month and made use of their fine services at least twice. (My wallet doesn't appreciate it, though). You can order online OR by phone. Great for when you're not in the mood for interacting with other human beings. Or when you're so picky you keep taking things out of your online cart and putting them back in. They deliver ALCOHOL to your house. What's not to love? They're also reasonably fast--we live about six blocks away from their brick-and-mortar store and it takes 20 - 40 minutes for our order to arrive. Great, friendly service, even late at night. No one likes a sassy delivery person, and the SF Room Service guys are just so chill. Don't forget, there's a $30 min charge, whether it's on cash or credit. My wallet and liver weep. Don't order delivery from these guys. They don't post their minimum for delivery which is always changing (as of last night was $45) and then they just call and tell you they can't deliver at all. This has happened to me twice now. They also charge your card immediately and then refund you which takes days. Seems to me you shouldn't process cards if you're not going to deliver or mention a minimum. Each time I've talked to them on the phone I tell them this. I found them on Yelp...filled out the simple form...and got a message from him about 2 hours later saying thank you for the gift. They have a good variety of liquor, beer, and other items you might want, and their prices are good considering they DO deliver. They are also the ONLY corner store open late at night in the Inner Sunset, so for those who live nearby they are open for walk in business too. This is the second (and last) time these guys have forgotten an item off a really simple order, and have completely disregarded my delivery instructions (please call instead of knocking). Any former New Yorker will be thrilled at the idea that you can order beer delivered to your lazy ass, but this place really doesn't have its act together. Delivery is VERY unpredictable and slow, and you won't necessarily get what you ordered when it finally arrives. The guys on the phone are nice, but woefully bad at customer service. They usually deliver with the hour mark so it's great! If you can wait for pizza delivery then you can wait. They also do gift deliveries which is a great thing to know. I was once in mexico and had to send a gift. Just went online pick a nice scotch and put special notes and a nice card to write with a gift basket and everything was great. This place was amazing! When I first walked in with my wife, I was just looking for a certain type that I haven't been able to find for months! Out of nowhere, Justin pops up and asks if we need help, he introduced himself as the guy who knows his beers. I asked him about a certain beer, he said they didnt have it in stock but right after he went on the computer and tried to put in an order right then and there! That is service! Unfortunately the beer I was looking for wasn't in season but Justin was sure to make some recommendations to me. He spoke so highly that even my wife wanted to try these recommendations and she isn't even a beer drinker! Soon after that the Owners mother (the sweetest woman) told him to open one up and sample it. You dont really find places like this anymore!
