Solid Italian restaurant in a touristy part of town. We were hungry and saw Da Vinci. Before we…read morewalked in I had to check Yelp and the reviews were solid so we decided to give it a try. Plus, my 6-year old just got off our tour bus and needed a bathroom break All of our orders came out in good time and our server was very helpful and friendly. We chatted a bit about his family in California. We ordered two steaks with wine reduction sauce. Very good. One steak was over cooked but it was fine. Clams as appetizer was awesome with the house bread. One order of lasagna and I would give it a 8/10 compared to other restaurants at home. One order of pasta carbonara. It was good but not outstanding. One order of spaghetti bolognese. That one was average. We just arrived from Barcelona a few days before Lisbon and we were missing sangria so we ordered one pitcher. It's not as good as the ones in Barcelona but then again this is not Barcelona. For dessert we ordered 3 ice cream and a tiramisu. The ice cream was over-priced at 8 Euro each. Skip dessert and go get some great pastries or gelato outside around the plaza.i

Well I was very excited to try this after seeing the photographs and reviews. I would give it…read morebetween 3 & 4 stars. Our meals were ok. I had the lasagna and it looked fantastic, it didn't taste quite as good. It kind of acidic, slightly but lacked a lot of flavour sadly. I put lots of cheese on it but is only partially fixed it. We also had a salami pizza and spaghetti boulegnese. Both were ok. Spaghetti was tasty but maybe a little fatty tasting and the pizza was thin crust but not crispy or firm at all. Just alright. We also had the fruit crepes for dessert, they were just ok, not worth having. The ones I had at Josephine up town were miles better. These were the doughy kind of texture which I don't like. Sorry it didn't blow me away as I was hoping so. But I also didn't realise it is smack in the middle of the tourist area, we had spent most of our trip uptown near Alfama and it is way more authentic and real... And way cheaper. I think fish was €50 here, and for a tiny fish. If you go uptown you cms get that for €15 max, and way bigger...

Very average. Came because a lot of local family owned eateries seem to be closed on Sundays and…read morethe guidebook I was reading suggested this paired with a trip to the Oceanarium. nothing to write home about but also nothing to really complain about. Service is, as some people have mentioned on Yelp and on Google maps, quite lackluster; resting b**** face seems to be the theme here- a stark contrast considering everywhere else I've visited in Lisbon so far has been filled with top notch smiling service. The RBF honestly sometimes isn't a bad thing if we compare it to the other extreme of overly excited overbearing wait staff checking in on you every two bites. Here on an overcast rainy Sunday early afternoon - first weekend of January 2025 so it's low tourist season and a bit chilly but it's also not too cold to sit outside. Double espresso helped me wake up a bit; had an over priced glass of red wine (7 euros?!!) that was definitely VERY meh. Ordered the Pugliese pizze. It was average- neither amazing nor horrid. Overall, I'd say this place is a tad pricey - it's NYC prices/ what I expect to pay at home, but doesn't quite meet standards to be charging these prices. Basically a hyped up tourist trap. Come here if you're an expat or for the outdoor dining vibes. Eat at the Vasco de Gama mall food court if you want a better value/quality ratio.

There were a mixture of tourists and locals and the vibe was good. Although there is a constant breeze from the bay, the glass partitions keep it comfortable. Not sure how well outside we be during the hottest months, but in a 70 degree day like this evening it was perfect. There is a full bar and a good selection of local and Italian wines. The Valpolicello Ripasso we ordered was from a winery new to us, and it was enjoyable. We had a caprese salad to start. The tomatoes were fresh and full of flavor and the mozzarella was fresh tasting as well. Although we prefer a good balsamic vinegar drizzle, the pesto olive oil did work. The pasta in both dishes was on the harder side of al dente, and it worked great. I'm not sure if it was fresh pasta but I'd put money on it being fresh pasta. The burrata and the tomato sauce for the spaghetti had a very nice balance, and you won't go wrong with the dish. The carbonara is made from eggs (not cream!) a as it should be. The raw egg over the top was an excellent touch. If you're worried about raw eggs order something else. Because this is exactly the way carbonara is supposed to be prepared. The yolk was a darker orange, tasting fresh from the farm. And it really added a nice layer of flavor. Again, a dog friendly establishment, so remember not all dogs are timid! And no worries of you bring your little canine compatriot, they will be welcomed with open arms!
