She sat behind her computer, briefly stated that the x-ray looked fine, and ended the appointment without ever physically examining my hand. Asking follow-up questions felt like pulling teeth. Because of this lack of hands-on care, my pinky healed rotated. After switching to Coastal Orthopedics, another provider explained that rotation cannot be seen on an x-ray--it requires a physical examination. Now, surgery is my only option to correct my finger. When I became visibly emotional and cried during my final visit upon learning this, Cassie Gruber simply brought in another doctor to calm me down rather than acknowledging her oversight. I strongly advise against seeking care at this practice. Seems that patient care isn't a priority here.

Previously we had a problem with Dr Sugar's staff he said to us "if you ever have a problem again, come see me and I'll take care of it". Starting two weeks ago my wife started to suffer with severe pain in her arm and shoulder. Not knowing what it was, she first visited our GP who diagnosed the condition tendonitis and suggested she visit out orthopedist, Dr David Sugar. After trying unsuccessfully for over a week, we decided that we would go to Dr Sugar's office without an appointment and wait to see him. We got there at 12:30 and was advised that if we didn't have an appointment she would not been seen by the Doctor. She explained the severity of the pain and said she would wait to see the Doctor. Fast forward 5 hours when the office manager again told us that Dr Sugar would not see her. My wife then said she only wanted to talk to him. She was told no. Though she was offered an appointment 2 days later, it became obvious it was just a ploy to get us to leave because early the next morning, we received call saying that we could no longer receive medical care from Dr Sugar and that our records were to be transferred to another doctor's office. Obviously Dr Sugar forgot his telling us "if you ever have a problem again, come see me and I'll take care of it". He did not even show the empathy one expects from a Doctor, but even from a decent man. He did not, and could not, find 5 minutes for long time patient in pain

During all of my visits. which were 10+, the therapists were more interested in talking with their coworkers about the dinner they were gonna have or the movie that was on the TV in the room and just ridiculous interaction in front of patients. From what I could see, including myself, patients were pretty much ignored. You were given repetitions to do you did them and maybe the PT person came back in a timely matter and maybe not but their focus was not on their patients. Their focus was on themselves. I really question the level of supervision that these people have, I have been to places like this, and I never return to them.

I got billed the usual deductible then later an additional $200-300 per visit! The cortisone did help a little but not much & only for a few days. Finally I gave in & did the magical PRP. I asked if 1 shot would work, I got blank looks then finally was told maybe. I was also told if I got additional needed shots to feel better that each would be $1500, probably more. I waited over a month for good results after that PRP SHOT. I got nothing! I'm in MORE pain now than when I began & $2300 poorer. This was an epic fail. A waste of time & $$. Don't go there & get sold on false hope & promises. They might cure a slight case of tendinitis or a sore ankle , but anything else is not happening. I feel like I got conned. A shot of snake oil would have been the same result. Don't go to this place if you are in pain! Go see an Orthopeadic Dr. I finally went to a hip Orthopedic Dr ,had an xray done & found my hips were fine! I had Just a slight bit of arthritis. They then did a lumbar & pelvic MRI & found out what was REALLY wrong. Multiple bulging lumbar discs, almost all of them herniated too! Stenosis present as well! I haven't even begun to pay out anything close to what Cole took from me. Isn't it funny how insurance can cover all I have done since I left Cole's con job , but with him just getting a cortisone shot cost me $100s ? My pain & issues had gotten worse while I fooled around with those useless, expensive shots of Dr Cole's! His , "I know exactly what you are feeling & what the problem is" was pure BS. It was more than I expected. Apparently these are new owners. Dr Danielle is amazing. I've had a lot of chiropractic care. Dr. Danielle recommended I see Daphna his nurse practitioner. Not going to lie, at first I thought, maybe he was trying to upsell me some services, but after speaking with her I ended up opting for some additional services. I suggest looking into stem cell treatment for chronic pain management. I'm not trying to end up in a nurse Jackie situation, (IYKYK) but living with chronic pain is at times unbearable. It's great that there is a practice out here offering non-narcotic options that provide real relief. They are MILKING Medicare and insurance. They insisted on an ex-ray even though we had recent ones forwarded from a prior doctor out of state. Went in expecting an injection and all he got was an "exam", someone feeling the knee. This is after FOUR visits. He called again to FINALLY get injections in both knees. They insisted on making separate appointments for each knee. When the explanation of benefits come from Medicare, we will be reporting the scam.

The entire experience before and after surgery has been extraordinary. The prep leading up to surgery and the PT have kept me moving right along. I am going to my fitness center where I'm using the rowing machine, stationary bicycle and Nu Step Machine. I used a walker for the first week and cane for second week. After that I used no assisted device. The knee feels very natural I am having very little pain. I can walk about a mile and am back exercising in my pool. Dr Dingle is an artist when replacing knees. The incision is hardly noticeable this soon after surgery.
