Much like other reviews, you know that purchasing something in the Old Market is going to have an "Old Market Tax" included in the price. That being said, they have a good variety of options and several people that are willing to help, you just have to ask. They're friendly and seem knowledgeable, but only with the information you're going to give them. There's several name brand cigars to choose from, and most are going to be once you've heard of. Good tobacco store in the old market. The humidor has many great cigar options, both flavored and not. We usually have great luck here, but they have an old market tax so that raises the price a little. They're helpful and knowledgeable about the options and offer good suggestions. Tonight I got a honey flavored one and a coffee flavored one, my husband got one, and for 3 it was $55, which is a little steep. It wouldn't have been as big of a deal if my honey cigar weren't super packed and hard to smoke. Hoping for better luck with the coffee one! read more

I'm a long time customer and it's disappointing to be waited on by staff that doesn't care enough about customers to protect them. You must wear a mask to enter but the person waiting on you doesn't. Been to this shop several times now. Every person in the place has always been open and pleasant to talk to. Very willing to answer any newbie questions and they're not always trying to up sell. They have a huge variety of everything you would expect in a shop like this. I was just here with my husband. Upon entering the store we were stopped by an impolite male employee wearing super tight clothes and boots in the summer, and asked for I.D.s (no biggie, we could possibly pass for under 18 ). While I am opening my wallet for I.D., he gave me a mean look and informed me that I have to leave my purse outside if I will be entering the humidor. I am not going to leave my purse unattended in downtown Omaha, so I decide to wait outside. Meanwhile, my husband enters the humidor and the employee follows him in and just watches. If this employee was going to stand 2 feet away and crowd us, I don't see why I couldn't have my purse on me..... If they have theft issues, perhaps they could install a camera or be more polite about purses (which 90% of women carry). My husband only likes going to this store because they carry a certain cigar he likes. When he asked about this cigar, the employee responded that they don't have it. Count me amongst the non-offended. I was an out of towner, and I was treated with nothing but respect when searching for some pipe tobacco. In fact, I arrived at the time of a brief surge in customers (it was the weekend of the NE Spring Game), and everyone was able to get what they wanted in turn. And, once the deluge lifted, I was able to talk with the gent behind the counter who walked me through some of the in-demand pipe tobacco selections. (Some of the selections that S.G. Roi has are HIGHLY in demand. Expect a call.) And, he let me take an inhale of his own personal pipe tobacco blend so that I could appreciate what he enjoyed. I'm not high maintenance, and I don't compare tobacconists to the retail giants. So, S.G. I like S.G. Roi, but it's still my second choice for cigars in Omaha. It's location is prime, right in the Old Market. They have a nice sized store and a pretty large humidor. They have a huge variety of brands including Cohiba, Montecristo, Arturo Fuente, Drew Estate, Romeo y Juliette, Padron, and others. The staff is helpful and know what they'e talking about. They make great recommendations on cigars as well. I appluad them for their great selection, but they're prices kind of offset that. Cigars that normally run around $7-$8 most places are $10-$12 here. Very annoying. I will still continue to shop here though so I can keep a stock of Drew Estate, Monte Cristo, and keep trying new things. read more

WORST RAN BUISNESS I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO!! I have been smoking a pipe since 2006 in which I used to have a good opinion of this establishment however I just recently bought a pipe tobacco pouch that was priced around 40 dollars and the clerk behind the counter claimed it to be leather. Anyway after owning it less than a week it completely fell apart and I realized that not only was it not made of leather it was held together by glue! I've had 5 dollars wallets from Wal-Mart last me longer and 9 dollars tobacco pouches last me a life time. And this product was priced around 40 dollars! Completely unacceptable. Not only did they refuse to make this right the owner refused to even talk to me. I will never shop or smoke here again! This is the worst run establishment I have ever been to period. Mind you there still saleing this piece of crap pouch for 40 dollars. I will be reporting them to the better business Bureau. Pretty great shop. I'm a hookah enthusiast, and as any shisha smoker knows, it's tough to find good charcoal. Most smoke shops will only carry quicklights, which really ruin the flavor. This shop carried a few water pipes, several brands of charcoal and a great variety of shisha tobaccos. I don't know that much about cigars, but there was certainly a wide selection. They also carried cigarettes, for the nicotine addicts. Overall great atmosphere, friendly service, and awesome decor. There's nothing quite as enjoyable as walking in and smelling the leaf. read more

Extremely unprofessional and difficult to work with. I reached out to the owner of S G Roi in June to try and arrange to have someone on site to roll cigars at my wedding. It took two weeks to get a call back, and after that I would go weeks without contact from the shop, despite many attempts on my part to ask questions and put our agreement in writing. I spent over a month asking for an invoice to be drawn up to based on the quote I was given over the phone. Finally, today (a month before the event and nearly two months after I first contacted them) I told the clerk on duty that I needed an invoice signed before the end of the day or I would have to cancel. Instead of the call back that I was promised numerous times I got a short email from the owner stating that the individual he guaranteed me would be available for my event wouldn't come unless he was guaranteed to sell at least 100 cigars, and that I would have to pay for any difference if that many weren't rolled. This would cost me more than five times the (multiple hundreds of dollars) quote that I was first given for an appearance. There was absolutely no mention of a minimum order at any point during our communication prior to this. I am extremely disappointed in the service I received. I have spent hours trying to arrange this special gift to my groom to be, which I never would have entertained if I had been aware of these requirements. What's worse, the owner sent this information in email form, which disallowed me from asking questions around the mistake he made in failing to inform me of crucial details regarding the agreement. The opening hours were actually off by about 15 mins. Opened late on a Sunday morning apparently due to a bad money tray left the night before. Nevertheless, the clerk, who I will not name, apologized but did not appear very sincere to me, his first customer of the day. The walk-in humidor was large with an excellent selection and competitively priced. The shop was well kept, well decorated and would be a nice place to relax if you are within their "circle of trust" to use their restroom. I could understand not permitting non-customers to use it but after paying $20 to sit and relax for a couple hours, I would expect I'd be allowed to use their restroom. FYI, if you have a theft problem, you can easily install devices, implement simple procedures and display a visible policy in order to turn a new customer into a returning customer. But obviously, the clerk, who I will not name, was not interested in me becoming a return customer. read more
