It gave the event an elevated touch. We entered and got the party going right away! Got drinks and started our rounds sampling all of the delicious food. No vendor disappointed! Some of my favs included Sufrat Mediterranean, Sun-kissed cocktails, ceviches by Divino and Mai - Kai restaurant. The SOBE DJs kept the vibes going all night and there were lots of opportunities for photos. I appreciated the outside patio setting for getting some air as the hangar got a little stuffy as the crowd grew. My only thought is maybe they needed more than 2 bars. Everything was so clean, the decor was beautiful, and they had every type of space you need for a wedding (entrance, bar, outdoor ceremony area, indoor reception, and maybe more that I didn't see). On further research it turns out this place is relatively new, see what I found out on the good old net - Originally constructed in 2003, the Cruz Building in Coconut Grove recently underwent some restoration work to its interior. The facade resembles a French row house, with natural keystone and travertine columns, iron balconies, authentic gas-flame lanterns, and Gothic stone sculptures. A good portion of the building's contents are architectural European and French New Orleans antiques. In my defense they do feature antiques inside, (pheww, I have a reputation to defend here!!!) What can I say? I love history, and they DID should an awesome job, it authentically looks old. I am still a fan and my review is still a 5 star.

As you enter, you will receive a welcome glass of tequila to begin your experience. You also receive a passport that needs to be stamped in each room. There are 10 rooms there. When you buy your tickets, you will choose how many rooms you want to experience! You will enter a train in the beginning and a conductor will take you on a 3 minute "ride" thru Jalisco, Mexico explaining where tequila was originally made. Note: it was very warm in the train. Then you go to another room where another storyteller will explain more and so on. In each room, you will get to taste tequila. Each room has a different experience. Towards the end, there is a gentleman who will play his guitar and sing songs. The decorations thruout will give you many photo ops!
