    SOBEWFF @ The Hangar

Nice open venue area. Came here for a SOBEWFF event this past year. They were able to fit a lot of food booths inside here as well as a DJ and plenty of walking space. They had some standup cocktail table set up inside as well as some outside if you wanted to feel the breeze. I liked how they left the front doors open so we could be an inside/outside event. The entire plaza in this area is very beautiful and very very lively. I would look forward to coming here for a future event.

Stephanie, the woman who claims to be managing the event at this establishment is beyond rude and disrespectful. She has absolutely no decorum and treats people like garbage. You don't speak to anyone any kind of way and not expect them to be offended. Then when they tell her it's a way to speak, she claims that there is a way to speak to her as well. Ma'am, when you come in hot, abrasive and rude, no one wants to hear what you have to say. She also moved us but left the family next to us who is NOT VIP. All she had to do was speak but she came in hot. My friend witnessed it and was shocked. The table next to us said she was out of order and her behavior was NOT correct. I will be reporting this further.

Very friendly vibe for the Montreux Jazz Festival. The crowd was calm and respectful, as were the employees. Lots of food options outside...a bit pricy but from reputable areas. Also loved the ear plugs available at the concert.

Beautiful, wide open space. Was here for a wine event the other week before heading up north to visit friends. The venue was well decorated, well lit, and they created a create a cozy and intimate atmosphere. I think the event organizers were able to do a lot with what was provided by the venue. The way it was set up - there was enough space to talk with each vendor, without shouting over the one too close next to them or the people at the next table. I get annoyed when it's too jam packed or noisy. I could see going to a lot more functions here if I lived in the area.

Great event space. Attended a SobeWFF event and it was the perfect venue for it. It's a unique event space close to the waterfront.

It has excellent elevated views of the Miami skyline to the east and the Miami River, boats, and the W Flagler St Drawbridge (historical landmark, built in 1938) to the west. I believe the penthouse is located on the 10th floor of a relatively new building. 2. The venue is modern and versatile. The inside spaces (including restrooms) had a clean, updated look. For this event, there were multiple bars and food stations set up both indoors and outdoors. The dance floor was outside. The combination of string lights, rooftop patio decor, and the city skyline was beautiful. There was only one elevator to get everyone up and down, so there was a bottleneck there. They brought in a fire dancer to perform outside on the rooftop, which was really cool.

There's limited street parking, but there's an adjacent parking lot. I'd recommend using a valet service if you are hosting an event here. I absolutely loved the views here, which is why this place gets 5 stars!

This was five years before Miami was even a city. It is the oldest civic group in Miami. Aware of the feeling of isolation that pioneer women could feel in the area Flora wanted a place where women could find fellowship and camaraderie. The club was created with the goal of "community uplift," which was achieved through fundraisers that paid for needs in the community. The club motto was "lend a hand". The promoted literacy and education. Their first project was to raise the money in 1894 for a Sunday school which later became the historic Plymouth Congregational Church. The fame of the Housekeeper's Club spread quickly. Within one year of its inception, Harper's Magazine, a major national publication, profiled the club. The Woman's club became the social hub of the city holding concerts, parties, and performances. Through the years they supported important causes like preserving the Everglades, a library, a girls ranch, cancer survivors, teaching children to swim, and canine companions. Over 100 years later the Woman's Club is still going strong and supporting civic activities in the community. Today you can rent the historic Woman's Club for weddings and private events. The building was designed by Floridas first registered architect Walter de Gamo and it was completed in 1921. The building is made of stucco, oolithic limestone, concrete, and stone. It is a rectangular shape with a gable roof and wrap around porch. In 1975 it was added to the United States national Register of Historic Places. The club has been renovated and special occasions can be booked through CG entertainment. I had the pleasure of attending a wedding here once and it was a lovely and historic venue to hold such a special event. An added bonus is that you can cross the street to get pictures along the water as well. La

Fabulous Venue…read more Coconut Grove Events coordinated and managed my daughter's wedding reception at the Historic Woman's Club of Coconut Grove. The guests raved about the delish food, and the decor package we selected looked perfect. We had a small gathering around 80 people. To start the festivities off drinks were served on the portico while the wedding party completed the photos. After dinner the DJ took the stage and the dancing started. This intimate venue was dream come true. Rudy and Leslie Rowe made sure we were completely relaxed and handled all the details during the reception allowing us the luxury of being a guest instead of a stressed out host and hostess. We Highly recommend Coconut Grove Events and especially the venue at the Woman's Club of Coconut Grove.

The restaurant sits next to the Coconut Grove marina, and is accessible by land or sea. The atmosphere always feels like you're on a Caribbean vacation. Our server was Iria and she was friendly, knowledgeable on the menu and perfectly attendant. She wasn't hovering over us but checked on us enough where we were perfectly taken care of. We started with an order of the peel & eat shrimp. This is seasoned with old bay and it was delicious; only complaint is they weren't cleaned very well, several of them were cut open but the "vein" was still very present. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, probably should give 3 but the rest really made up for it. For the main courses my bf had the seafood pasta which he said was good, although the sauce was a bit plain (he described it as having a ragu flavor). I had the Baja tacos at his suggestion and boy was it a good recommendation. It comes with 3 tacos and they are packed with fish. They were absolutely delicious. The tacos also come with a small side of elote which had a strong citrus flavor, absolutely delicious. All in all, I don't know why we don't come here more often but we will. Monty's should always be an option when the weather is right.

She walked us to a table that was about to be directly in the sun, so we politely asked if we could sit at the table right next to it instead. Keep in mind, the restaurant was not very busy at all. She immediately told us no with an attitude that was completely unnecessary and honestly set the tone for the entire experience. Then our server brought out our $9 non-alcoholic drinks, and one of the glasses had what looked like actual dirt all around the rim. We pointed it out and asked to switch it for a tea instead. When he brought the tea, he explained that the "dirt" was supposedly just from the watermelon. It was 1000% dirt. Regardless of what they want to call it, the glass was visibly dirty and should never have been served to a customer. After that, our server barely came back to check on us. To make matters worse, when we received the bill, they had actually charged us for the drink we sent back because the glass was dirty. The food was below average as well, especially the fish dip. The non-alcoholic teas are also $9 each, which is insane considering the quality and overall experience. The entire establishment felt dirty and poorly taken care of, and the staff seemed more interested in standing in the corner gossiping than checking on their customers. This was our first time here, and we absolutely will not be coming back. The current 3.3-star rating is generous. Whoever owns or manages this place seriously needs to reevaluate the level of service and cleanliness because this experience was unacceptable. 0/10.
