Terrible experience -- avoid at all costs…read more I hired Diego from "Quality Blinds" to install three blinds, and unfortunately, the experience was a complete nightmare. It took five attempts to get the blinds installed, and one is still problematic. He is now asking me for $300+ to fix a problem caused by his own work. He drilled multiple times for each blind, leaving the wall paint damaged. One blind was still wobbly, and his solution was to stick a folded newspaper between the wall and the bracket. Another blind caught the tail of a charger while rolling up, which caused the cable to snap. Communication was another major problem. He rarely answers his phone, does not return calls, and does not respond to text messages. After a dozen attempts and a great deal of frustration, I finally managed to schedule appointments for him to fix the issues. He repeatedly failed to show up on time--not 20 or 30 minutes late, but 3-4 hours late. This meant being stuck at home for hours waiting for someone to fix problems that should never have occurred in the first place. His work was also messy and careless. Ultimately, I had to pay other people to finish and correct the work he started, resulting in additional expense, lost time, and a tremendous amount of frustration. I had just moved and had electricians, plumbers, painters, and other contractors coming and going. There were small issues here and there, but every other professional I dealt with took responsibility for their work and eventually made things right. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Diego at "Quality!" Blinds. DO NOT HIRE HIM.

UPDATE: Installers…read morearrived. Took 2 hours to install manual blackout shade and Sill, the piece for the bottom of the Shutter to give a finished look. While doing so, they removed the entire Shutter at least 2 times as I heard it crashing to the floor several times. (I do not know why they had to do this.). Paint on the sides was ripped off the walls together with pieces of my wall literally removed. And the Sill was damaged as its left side was broken off. When I asked them to leave when they were 'done', one installer refused to leave. I was overcharged for this Shutter and wasn't given what was promised and Shutter still needs adjusting and Sill needs to be replaced. FYI: I have never written a bad review in my life, until this nightmare experience with Diego/Quality Blinds Solutions.

Lo and behold, a month later, I follow up, and she couldn't remember the colors or the fabric we had selected for the different rooms. I had to remind her what we had picked even though she had written it down. Ok. Install day finally comes, and the Roman shades I had picked were supposed to be cordless. The guy arrived and installed Roman shades with a cord. I followed up with her and she told me it wasn't possible to deliver on the cordless option so she made them corded. Then she tells me there is a new after market motorized option and she will get me the info so I can pay more for this option. So in essence I paid cordless shade pricing but got Roman shades with cords. And to get motorized option, I had to pay even more even through she did not consult with me and delivered whatever she wanted. Ok. So, I followed up regarding the aftermarket motorized option several times and never received a response. So now, a year later, I am still stuck with the corded Roman shades that are difficult to open and close because they are quite wide and large. Super nice to your face and apologetic but VERY disorganized and will make decisions that cost you money without telling you until install day. When the technician arrived, he was very friendly, personable and helpful. We actually had additional work we needed done---hanging three pieces of art-- and upon arrival the tech worked with us to schedule it for the same day! He was able to have the owner of the company come out to assist him, and the pricing for this was extremely affordable as well. They truly made the ideas in my head come to fruition. The wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-floor wardrobe they designed for our small Miami Beach apartment, opened a whole new world when it came to space-saving and just adding class to our room. My entire family absolutely adores the extra space that they have for their personal effects. I am amazed at the spaciousness of the drawers that allows me (and our girls) to keep them organized, not having stuff everywhere. Roger was truly amazing throughout the entire process (even after full-payment). Never once did I have an issue getting ahold of him. He did everything he said he would do, and when I would call him with a new idea, he would implement it without complaint. Roger truly goes above and beyond to make sure that everyone is satisfied and the work is absolutely perfect! In fact, there was an issue with the floor not being laid properly which created a big headache in getting the wardrobe to line up straight. Roger and his crew had to spend additional days and money to make sure it all looked perfect to their standards at no extra charge to us.
