We replaced all of our kitchen appliances through Kitchenworks (refrigerator, double wall oven, dishwasher, cooktop, and over the counter microwave). While we chose GE Profile brand which is at the bottom end of the lines Kitchenworks offers, they were so much better than dealing with the big box stores who offer the same line. I will never go back to Ferguson again if I can help it, Yanina here at Kitchenworks is a so lovely and responsive, she answered all the questions I had, has gotten me quotes and specs as soon as I needed them and helping me order all the appliances that I need in my own time for my indoor and outdoor kitchen. How responsive they are is what I appreciate the most. When doing remodeling you don't want to have to chase a business or beg them to give you the time to buy simple fridges and ovens. Our experience with Kitchenworks is dated. We're about to do our 3rd Miele kitchen and will look nowhere other than Kitchenworks. Our experience: presale, pricing, installation and service (performed by Miele, 7 appliances, 2 visits in 15 years) were all superb. I might add our approach to appliances, reliability is our #1 criteria, except for refrigeration. We believe all refrigeration is junk, a 7 year life on the outside and paying an absurd amount of money for a headache is sort of silly. So we buy Frigidaire french door frig's, gorgeous inside and out, about $2k, replace with same after they fail. read more

Do not give this company your business. Here's why: my 1997 SubZero wasn't worth repairing anymore, so I purchased a new SubZero from Kitchen Works here in Fort Lauderdale. The installers delivered the unit on time, but I give them no credit for that ... even a discount operation can do that. What bothered me was that the original piece of stainless steel trim between the floor and the bottom of the unit needed replacing. (It's called a toe-plate or something like that.) The installer told me he'd have a new piece in a few days. Well, days went by, then weeks. Calls to Kitchen Works about their installer did not produce positive results, only excuses, until, finally, Kitchen Works told me the installer's helpers would show up. They did, but they installed a defective piece, and didn't caulk the edges of the trim to finish the job properly. Calls to Kitchen Works about this defective piece and poor workmanship have not been returned. When I by an $11,000-plus refrigerator/freezer, I expect service from start to finish. Kitchen Works did not give me my money's worth. I can only guess that, Kitchen Works is cutting corners by hiring a cut-rate installer. I am going to have to my building contractor to finish the job properly. Lesson: save yourself times and anxiety by buying somewhere else; and be sure to read Yelp reviews FIRST, as I should have done. P.S. The SubZero needed repair within a few weeks of installation because an internal hose was damaged during shipping, according to the (very nice and competent!) repair man. Imagine that happening to an $11,000-plus unit! Check Consumer's Reports and buy something less expensive that is recommended. P.P.S. ( Update 9/3/2015) Please see Kitchen Works' reply, below. When a customer has one type of floor or another is a problem for the dealer and/or the installer, not a problem for the customer to solve. The installer or rep from K.W. should have visited and inspected the site BEFORE installation, especially for an $11,000-plus appliance. That's what another dealer did before installing my new Miele dishwasher. That saved everyone time and frustration; and they had NO PROBLEM with the dishwasher installation. I don't care if Kitchen Works or Sub-Zero did the installation; it is K.W.'s responsibility to deal with the customer. I have to give K.W. credit for at least reading Yelp reviews. But, I am disappointed at their defensive attitude. It is good business practice to be apologetic and conciliatory to customer complaints, not defensive. Worst customer service ever. These people just take your money and run! When you buy a high end kitchen one would expect that the company would be there for you when you need them but this isn't the case with kitchenworks. To begin, when looking at their display kitchens we got yelled at by one of the salespeople for opening drawers and cabinets while they were using the display kitchen to have a meeting when they clearly have offices in the back for meetings. They practically wanted everything up front before even installing the kitchen and seeing if it was the way I wanted! They took weeks longer to deliver the materials than what we were told. Then when they tell us the kitchen is almost there, the truck supposedly broke down and they delivered it days later. Then after a week after having the kitchen, we got a stain on the kitchen cabinet, so I called kitchenworks to help us because you would assume there is a warranty on the brand new kitchen. I realized that the cabinets are very porous and the company said they would come over and take a look at it. Once they came over, they said it should not have done that and they said they will have their cabinet guy come and see if he can get it out and if he couldn't they would replace the panel. Well it's now been 6 months and haven't heard from them. The other day I ran into one of the owners (Susan) at a place of business where I was conducting a meeting and she rudely interrupted the scheduled meeting and never even bothered saying hello so then I decided to say hello because I thought maybe she didn't see me. Then she decided to say hello (my name) and never asked how is my kitchen and if the guy came. This company simply does not care about their customers whatsoever. Our kitchen was very expensive but now I realize that it pays to pay $5000 more at Eggersmann USA for way better quality kitchens and way better service. I know that kitchenworks is going to respond with an excuse and tell you what you want to hear like they have been doing to me for the entire process. However, you should seriously not consider buying a kitchen from this company. PS. We renovated our kitchen and chose to buy all of our appliances from Kitchenworks. They were competitively priced, local ( love to support local businesses!), and knowledgeable. We've had 2 issues come up with the appliances since install and each time, Anthony provided incredible customer service and had the issues fixed within a few days. I'm happy I chose to go with a smaller company that provides excellent customer service as opposed to a larger retailer where I would been just another nameless customer. Horrible Company, especially considering the premium price you pay for their products and services. Here is an excerpt of the formal letter I wrote to Armand from KitchenWorks in response to the "purple" Viking stove we received (verse the cobalt blue color we had selected). "I absolutely cannot believe how I've been treated as a customer of Kitchenworks and Viking. It has been the worse customer experience of my life. Yes, we selected the color; it was not the color we expected based on the information you provided to us as customers. I expected you to work with us with the Viking Representative and represent our interests, but your comments of "not knowing why I'm in the middle" and "not able to work with us" are ludicrous. You should be in the MIDDLE as the merchant and did fail to work with us - never reaching out or explaining to us what you communicated to Viking and exploring other options." Armaud is a spineless sales person, who stood by as the Viking Representative told me he didn't think the stove looked purple. It's absolutely purple. Not once did Armaud say anything constructive or for that matter, anything at all, to help find a middle ground to resolve the situation. It was perhaps the most disappointing service for a high end purchase that I have ever had... stay away from Armaud and KitchenWorks if you want quality products and service. read more

I purchased a Sub-zero from Anthony about two years ago. He was very knowledgeable about the product and delivered the unit exactly as he said he would. The installers they had were really good as they managed to get the old unit out and the new unit installed without scratching my wood floors. (No easy feat!) So recently I awoke to find some water buildup in the bottom of the refrigerator. I called the service company a couple times but no one ever returned my calls. So I stopped by to see Anthony and he called and scheduled the service right in front of me. I was apparently calling the wrong service company... I bought a suite of appliances from The Kitchenworks over 5 years ago. When you are that far away from the sale, you really don't expect much in the way of assistance particularly when the appliance in question was out of warranty. I initially called to get a referral for repair but was pleasantly surprised when Armand took the time to hook me up with the manufacturer rep to see if the parts were still under warranty. My first experience with Kitchenworks will keep me coming back. My dishwasher failed. Having had bad luck in the past with dishwasher performance and longevity, I contacted them. I spoke with Anthony who shared with me his personal experience. He said that the ones that last are either the cheapest or the best. Everything in the middle was a poor choice. I prefer quality which is why I chose them. He shared with me the reasons for the differences in price for between the different models. He made it clear that it was based on what I wanted. Never did I feel pressured to chose a high priced product. I find that unusual in retail. They always try to up-sell you. Anthony was different. He seemed like a trusted advisor. I shared with him the urgency of my situation.. I had a full dirty failed dishwasher heading into a weekend with a party and as a single parent really needed this done quickly. I don't know how he did it, but he said he understood and would do his best to help me out. That was Thursday. On Friday my new Miele was installed beautifully.These guys were amazing! They even fixed my spray faucet that wasn't retracting properly and removed the old unit. EVERYTHING was perfect and I am difficult to please! I am about to buy a new home. I am now seriously thinking about them to give me my dream kitchen if it's not in my dream home. I am glad to find a company that actually cares. I highly recommend them. read more
