If your looking for a church. I highly recommend Shadow Hills. From youth groups, bible study, volunteering, and hearing the message of God. The staff are friendly, helpful, and caring.

So I have really been struggling with this church lately. We attended Canyon Ridge for about 6 years and never met anyone , never met any friends and after only a few short months at this church at least 2 different groups of people have already reached out just to say hello and introduced themselves. It's nice to have people reach out and say hello when you feel all alone at a church or when you are longing for friendships. If I could take Pastor Drew's messages from Canyon Ridge and have them at Shadow Hills or take all the people and bring them to Canton Ridge I think it would be the perfect church , or is there such a thing. I love the actual church, the building the worship, the Pastor Bret is lovely. The children service and volunteers are nice. There have been periods of times where is wasn't available but our daughter dealt. But this is just personal for me but I can only hear messages from the book of John so much. And how I need to know Jesus and be a Christian and Serve. I think the pst 3-4 weeks have all been from the book of John. I am all for preaching straight from the Bible, but for me I would love for church to be something to help me with my life and for helping me as a Christian getting through it. Yes I know I need to serve, gives, tithe , and known Jesus but there's Sooooooooooo much more I want to know and need to know. Or are u honestly saying there isn't. There have been so many times I ask my husband after when we want to talk about the message what did you get from that and were left so uninspired. We are trying so hard but it's just not happening. I am better off just doing bible studying straight from my bible that can relate the stories in the Bible to parenting , marriage, work etc. and helping me that way. Because I don't know how many more times I can sit there after amazing worship and feeling good and repeatedly hear I need to know Jesus and serve him . But the people are very nice at this church , the events are great. My husband and I are struggling so horribly right now, we don't even have gas to make it to church, I have been trying to find a job for months and we have been going to food banks at other church's just to survive so it's been a very hard time for us. I was hoping this church could be a light in our dark time by just helping us get through our week. I just don't find myself feeling that good light after. So we found ourselves staying home this Sunday after very routinely going every Sunday for months. Definitely go for yourselves and decide if it's right for you and your family. They do have people that will pray with you, and I believe your kids with love it.

The beautiful grounds at SHADOW HILLS. All drought resistant!!

This has been my church for about 25 years (it was West Oakey previously). Love the teaching, the music ( the choir and the band are phenomenal! ), and the love reflected all around. Come join us on Saturday nights at 5 or Sunday mornings at 8:45, 10:15, or 11:30.

The greeters at the door are always kind and smiling welcoming you in no matter what you wear or what you look like. The church is kept clean and ac running plus if you forgot to get your coffee or smoothie or even a snack they have a shop inside to help get you fixed. There is childcare all free and a system with tags never had an issue with the childcare helpers there and for all ages too. They will text you if there is any issue with your child. The worship is always popping and full of good vibes some of us have our hands in the air others sway while others cry its ok its all welcomed. Here's the best part the message it hits the spot almost everytime I feel like you leave with that refreshed feeling that after a hot day in the sun you pop open that cool soda can feel but sometimes better. You can feel the love of God in the air and most importantly comfortable no matter what baggage you bring no one judges they just accept. I have been going here for several years and we love Judd and all the celebrity guests that come from time to time. Its helped us manuever through some of lifes hardships. Its worth trying out! It is a place where its ok to not be ok.

This one came up re intended again and again and it was absolutely fabulous! Mary, Joseph, the baby Jesus, Santa, the Grinch, Snow falling, a real camel, donkeys, sheep etc, acrobats, a band, beautiful singers, super cute kids, and a big friendly crown excited to celebrate the true reason for the season. The pastor was fantastic and fun to listen to, while referencing the bible, telling the real Christmas story etc 10/10 and absolutely recommend service to anyone!

Every. Single. Year... I go back and forth about posting this. But I'm at a point in my life, where…read moreI'm choosing not to stay silent about what I've been through, regardless of whether a lot of time has passed. So here are just some of the instances that happened during my time at this church, as a young 20 yr old trying to find peace after some trauma. This all happened several years ago, but clearly is something that has weighed heavily on me since then, and was ultimately the demise of my attendance with the church. 1) I was told very private information about other members of the church by leaders... information that should've never been shared, and information I had no business knowing. "Don't tell anyone I told you this, but..." -the woman's pastor. What had she been telling others about me? 2) being told "your works do not define who you are" and then being told that I'm not doing enough to serve the church after bending my back over for them and the children's ministry. 3) This is while I was venting about an unrequited love... Women's pastor: "did you have any kind of intimacy with this guy?" Me: "yes" (In my head: we kissed and that's it) Women's pastor: "well, when I was your age, I was a whore too" (those were her actual words) 4) "you're too young to know what real hurt is." Told to me by a member after I told the women's group that my boyfriend died of cancer 5) women's pastor: "are you an alcoholic?" Me: "no. I grew up around alcoholics and no i am not an alcoholic" Women's pastor: "well, alcoholics usually say they aren't..." I told her she basically just called me an alcoholic and then she gaslighted me into believing that it was my own insecurities and pride that took it that way... looking back on it now, no one else would have taken what she said in a different way than I did. As you can see, my review is mostly about one person. My experience is complex, like many others. I was easily influenced during these years, as I was desperate for healing, which is why I think I stayed even after seeing the red flags. Most people that come to church, come with trauma. I understand the idea in which people think their own healing journeys are the "answer" to everyone else's... it's not. But that is how I was treated. I did have positive experiences here too. The actual sermons and worship are really great. The members are typically great. It's a beautifully diverse church and I really loved how there were many different people from many different backgrounds. I found this church out of desperation for healing. My relationship with God strengthened at the time, but the way the women's pastor treated me through the mentioned experiences above, was gross. What's worse is that the two other members I confided in about my experiences with the woman's pastor, was not surprised. I quit the church cold turkey after reflecting on a year of my experiences with her.

The staff and congregates genuinely love the Lord; the worship time is upbeat and intimate, glorifying our God, And the teachings by both the lead Pastor and Associate Pastor are incredible!! You'll be blessed and your search just might end as mine did!?!

From the moment we walked in, we felt such peace. The church is absolutely beautiful -- intimate, serene, and filled with a very special presence. We had the blessing of meeting Bishop Higgins and receiving a wedding anniversary blessing from him, which made our visit even more meaningful. It was truly a moment we will always cherish. One of my favorite parts of the church is the Sto. Niño statue -- it looks so magical and carries such a beautiful spirit. It really touched my heart. Another bonus is the location! It's within walking distance from Resorts World Las Vegas, which made everything so convenient during our stay. We are so grateful to God for blessing us with the opportunity to worship here and celebrate another year of marriage. It was such a beautiful and blessed weekend. We will definitely return.
