This is the second time my wife and I have been to SBG and certainly will not be the last…read more The campground is located a stones throw away from beautiful Skaha Lake and offers plenty of space on each site for a tent, picnic table, summer inflatables and anything else you bring on vacation. We currently have a 6 man tent, a 12 x 16' tarp, a picnic table, 2 bikes, a kayak and a car in our site with plenty of room to spare. Each site has a barrier that offers privacy from the adjacent sites and the tent and clothesline offer privacy from side to side. The bathrooms are very well kept and tidy. A very secure campground. Never have an issue with anything going missing and the staff is extremely friendly. We absolutely love it here. We do not have kids, but it seems as though the little scamps have a blast here as well with plenty of kid friendly things they can get into. Fishing, arcade, playground.. This place is good to go.

Do not book a stay at South Beach Gardens Campsite and RV Park in Penticton BC. You will be…read morerequired to make a substantial deposit which you will never get back if your plans change for any reason. I had booked for the requisite minimum 5 day tenting stay as a way to explore Penticton. I was considering moving there once I sell my current house. Unfortunately two days before my scheduled arrival all the routes from the lower mainland were compromised by out-of-control wildfires. Those same highways, by the way, were subsequently closed a few days later. I did not feel it was safe to travel into the interior under the circumstances. When I called, the woman in their office who answered said I could come up highway 97. Ridiculous. I would have to travel a fire compromised route just to get to highway 97. I was told no refund of my $250 was possible. I suggested this was quite the cash grab to which she responded that it was no such thing, they were a friendly family run business. I beg to differ. Theirs may be family run, but families can be corrupt. Their office phoned the night I was to arrive to ask if I was planning to arrive. I suspect they were preparing to rent out the site I had booked and paid a deposit for. This is called double dipping and seems to be a habit of theirs. There have been at least six similar complaints against this business in the past two years. The South Beach Gardens RV Park (often referred to as South Beach campground) in Penticton, BC, currently holds a C+ rating on the Better Business Bureau while the owners other business, Wrights Beach, holds a D- rating. There have been additional and numerous complaints about intrusive security guards, double booked sites, garbage, and filthy washrooms. My concern in this review, however, is their refund policy. I would very much like my $250 returned to me. I had offered to change my booking to later in September but was told that would require another deposit and I would still not get my original deposit back. Stay away from this business. The South Beach refund policy is simply an unethical cash grab. This is particularly the case when you look at the rigidity of the policy even in the face of extenuating circumstances.

Please read carefully prior to taking your family and friends to Todd's RV and Camping (Peachland):…read more1- Far too few showers and ablution facilities. 2 showers for the men and two WC's and one urinal (Child urinal). WC's always dirty. 2- Very out dated and likely does not comply with current building code.(Possible safety concern) 3- Be prepared to be charged for every little thing and twice the going rates. (Nickel and Dime) 4- Very cramped site.(Shove then in and take your money) 5- Staff unfriendly and rude. 6- RULES and more RULES. If you like rules; Lots and lots of them, then this is the site for you. WOW I think this is governance gone crazy. Don't shower too long, don't use too much water, don't walk here, not this type of dog, don't, don't, don't, don't.....etc. All I can say is wow, who needs a new mommy or daddy to tell you what you can and cannot do- all the time. I think we paid for the use of water and if people are waiting too long for a shower maybe it's because you do not have enough (Build more). We did pay more than a reasonable rate and oh yes you crammed us in like sardines. 7- Rude staff (Very) 8- They take your money and then...... I do not suggest bringing dogs to this site. Not dog friendly at all. No beach access for dogs. ANOTHER RULE: Dogs cannot be left at campsite BUT they cannot go to the beach hmmm. So what should an owner do? Bias against many breeds of dogs. I do not recommend. Do your homework and I suggest spending your hard earned dollars somewhere else, where they will appreciate you as a customer. If you need a new mommy or daddy and want more rules then this is the place for you. Contest: see if you can count all the RULES as you walk around this place (Bring a thick note pad) RULE for Todds RV and Camping: Build more washrooms and treat us like paying customers who you care about.

Was given permission to shower in men's bathroom with my reg. Care Aid. Permission was revoked when complaint was put in against the employees son who frequently turns off lights and screams in washroom while people are using it. Was told that I had to use my "gender assigned" washroom with no assistance. Was given the option of using the dirty tub room that is not an accessible space in anyway and still would not be able to recieve assistance. We offered options like posting a letter when showering that a medical assistance shower was taking place, we where ignored and instead told to leave to campground immediately. The camp employees did however let their drug addicted daughter and boy friend stay and detox in the brand new yurts for an extended period of time until a spot opened up at a treatment centre and than she got cold feet and stole some stuff from the other campers and took off. Definitely lock your stuff up. People go through your campsite and your belonging, including the park employees kids.....If you are wonder what kind of people they are... the addicted daughter allegedly felt it was better to get pregnant in the streets and leave her baby with another addicted person rather than give the baby to her mother who is the employee at the park...I now understand why it's called trailer trash.
