Caveat: my rating system is based on fairness. (Kind of like a "grading curve" - do schools even do…read morethat anymore?!) I mean, is this a 5 Star Hotel? No! Does it deserve 5 stars for what it is? Yep! It's a motel with few frills but it's great. Why? It's on the ocean. (Sure, my ocean view is sort of hard to see through a small window, but who cares. I can see it from my bed. The owner was very friendly and the bed is comfy with cotton sheets and a beautiful cotton bedspread. There is free WiFi, which is fast enough. C'mon, what more do you want? It's a little loud with road traffic, but not bad. I travel with earplugs and an eye mask anyway. And yes, I use them a lot. I'm sensitive, okay? It's very clean and as a woman traveling alone, I feel safe here. Which is a big plus. Oh yeah, as a bonus, the restaurant a short walk away is excellent. Check out the review I just wrote of that place. Seared tuna, anybody? Yep.
