Dr. Shafizadeh is a nice talking doctor, but behind nice talking there is his malpractice hiding. He did transperineally biopsy of prostate on my husband. He did not inform us about any possibility of side effects. When I asked him to do regular rectal biopsy he refused saying that nobody does it any more. It was a big lie. He just wanted to get more money. As a result he infected my husband badly. My husband has UTI for three months already. Besides that, for one and a half months my husband was not able to urinate after biopsy and was several times catheterized by Mr. Shafizadeh/I don't want to call him a doctor/. He prescribed my husband strong but wrong antibiotics without taking urinary culture test. These antibiotics created more problems such a fever and palpitation 220. When he replaced catheters, very poor quality, one of the catheters blocked urine passage and urinary track infection migrated to my husband's kidneys and as a result he received pyelonephritis. My husband attended ER four times after biopsy. ER doctor did urinary culture test and found out that antibiotics which prescribed Dr. Shafizadeh were wrong and harmful. ER doctor prescribed proper antibiotics and we informed Dr. Shafizadeh about it during one of our visits. My husband was a healthy person before this biopsy but Dr. Shafizadeh made him very sick. He did not deserve any stars at all. He does not concern about patients' health, his concern only how to get more money. We are not visiting Dr. Shafizadeh any more. He never asked how my husband how he is feeling. His staff is not friendly, especially Cynthia in Park Avenue location and Morrice in Queens location, rude and unprofessional people.
So, people, if you don't want to lose you health don't go to ''Dr '' Shafizadeh!
