Shawarma doesn't exist where I live in Hawaii, so I wanted to take full advantage of it. Malmö has dare I say what seems like a hundred of these shops around town. I only got to try two, and both were awesome. We walked in here, and the first thing you notice is the meat on the spits, and all the condiments behind the glass counter. Knowing I wanted a shawarma before even walking in, ordering mine was easy. Not only is is fast, it's cheap, and best of all- absolutely delicious. The service was good, and one great thing about visiting with a local friend, he not only knows the guys, but can be our translator as well. I would love to come back here again in the future.

We were pretty hungry and looking for a place to grab lunch immediately and this halal place became an option. The restaurant is pretty small and has 6 tables but as they were not busy and we ordered immediately we were munching on a Hamburger and a chicken wrap within no time. The food was very well cooked and delicious. There were two employees at the restaurant and both of them were making sure that the customers who were picking up or dining in were being taken care of promptly. As soon as we were done with lunch we skipped our way to discover the Lund Cathedral which is a marvelous sight in its own right which hopefully I get to review pretty soon.

It's also halal and can serve paleo buns consisting of portobello mushrooms, so it's a pretty big win-win for everybody.

Everything was nicely packed and didn't shift around at all in our short walk. I went with the Mohammed Ali which comes with double cheese, double bacon, pickles, and fried onions as well as the usual salad and tomatoes. The burger was wrapped in paper and also put in a paper box to keep it safe. Unfortunately I'd forgotten to ask for the beef to be cooked medium rare, but surprisingly it still tasted great. The whole wheat bun was a little dry but had a nice, nutty flavour. Cheese was perfectly melted and though the bacon was not crispy, it was a good burger as a whole. On Monday to Friday the meal price is 89 dkk after 4pm and the lunch special before that is 69 dkk. It includes fries and dip. This is great for those of us who don't normally like soda or would rather have a beer with it, as the drink is not included in the price. The fries were fine and as for the dip, well, I just wanted ketchup. I spooned a little bit of chili paste into the cup of ketchup before I left, so that perked things up a bit. I like that your meal can be so customizable here, much like Halifax, only Burgerklubben seems to execute it better and at a lower price. In addition to serving only halal meat, they also offer vegan and vegetarian patties, as well as portobello mushrooms for a paleo "bun," so everyone can enjoy food together. I'll definitely swing by here again!

My friend let me try some aalo (potato) naan, qeema (spiced beef) naan, and cheese naan and they were all excellent; especially the aalo which was pleasantly spicy. It felt strange. We were seated up against the window to the street as if to show us off to passers by. Overall, a clean and nice place. Higher than expected prices, smaller portions than expected, great waiter, and a seemingly struggling to survive restaurant.
