I was in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on a ski trip in Jan 2024. After renting my skis from the wonderful store across the street, I got my SIM card from a store near this restaurant. It was a convenient option with the ski gear etc. to dine here and I found reviews to be promising. So I went in and was greeted and seated by a very nice staff. The staff promptly took my order but unfortunately when it arrived, the salad was tasteless and the beef was super dry and hard. I was very disappointed by the food there. I got the hangover burger and it was massive. Burger was cooked well and tasted pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was the bbq sauce on it. Next time I'd get no sauce and add condiments at table. Fries were cooked well. Food came out quick along with the great beers. Would go again! read more

When you have Hangry American teens, and parents and grandparents who do not want McDonald's or Subway- you google burgers, and Shaka Burgerhouse was a win for the entire family! We had great choices and the fried eggs on burgers got rave reviews. The simple cheeseburger was not so simple when it came to tasting exceptionally good and being perfectly cooked. We decided to order takeout after a long day on the slopes. The food was done fairly quickly, I ordered online and it took around 20 minutes. The food was decent. We are snobby about burgers and these were pretty decent. The burgers come with a thousand island sauce on them but that's not noted on the online menu. One thing to note is the burgers are huge. We have 3 kids and they could have all shared one. I wish I would have known as we could have saved 30€ and not wasted so much food, but what a better problem to have. read more

Shaka burger house is a great place to hang out have a burger fries and beer. The atmosphere is pleasant. A bit noisy but if you can hump that you'll really enjoy it here. I am from the U.S. and after spending several days eating Bavarian food which is absolutely amazing and I highly suggest you try it if it's not the norm but my stomach just needed a break. Burgers were cooked to order fries were crispy and beer and cocktail menu was fully stacked. They except euro and credit cards for your convenience. Service was great. The service was great and burgers were big and so flavorful. The fries do not come with a burger but me and my husband split one because we could barely eat them after the burger. The drink menu has a good selection of cocktails I do think those are a little pricey but you are in a touristy area. I would eat here again if I wanted a good burger. read more

Thank you for staying open late for our group (3 nights in a row) and firing up the fryer so we could have wings and fries. This place is great and the owner is awesome. I would have to say that this burger joint is pretty close to ordering a burger in the states. I have been disappointed many time when traveling out of the country and ordering a burger only to be let down. I ordered the Maui Wowi burger which was pretty good and the portion was bigger than I expected. My wife wanted the bacon burger, but the bacon delivery guy hadn't delivered yet, so she settled for the cheese burger which she enjoyed. Service was fast and food was even faster. read more

We did NOT have the experience the first reviewer did. There were four Americans in our party and the experience was unmatched to not only any burger place we've eaten at, but most restaurants we've enjoyed. We had two eating the kingsized burgers (with eggs), the kramer slammer burger and the hangover burger along with sweet potato fries (w/ sour cream). All food came hot and timely. Our waiter Pepe took really good care of us and went above and beyond to make sure we ended up being raving fans. The manager and the chef even checked up on us twice each during our meal. We highly recommend this place to everyone. Oh, and by the way we are from Laie, Hawaii, the birthplace of Shaka, the man behind the Shaka sign you see in the logos. read more

One of the best American-burger places in Germany. Nestled in the heart of Garmisch, it blends in with the beauty of the surrounding buildings. My husband and I brought our son, d-i-l, 2 grandkids, and my d-i-l's cousin to Garmisch for a visit. Shaka Burger was across the street from our hotel, and so we went there for dinner after a long, rainy day of sightseeing. We ordered 5 burgers, 5 fries, and 2 Caesar salads. Nothing off the menu or crazy. We got our drinks pretty quickly. Then one burger about 20 minutes later. Twenty minutes after that, another burger. Twenty minutes later, another burger. Finally a different server came and took the missing order again. Twenty or more minutes later, the rest of the order trickled out over five to ten minutes. After all that, the burgers were only okay, and the salads were left 90% uneaten. This is one of the worst places we've eaten in Germany. Will never go back. Ever. read more
