Super minimalist and classy in style for that great picture-worthiness. The bathrooms also have that simple but clean touch that just makes you feel at home. The customer service of our waitresses was definitely a plus. I'd come back in a heartbeat if only it wasn't so remote from the tourist town. Food is definitely healthy in the salad choices from mango to shrimp salad bowls. If you're looking for Filipino food, unfortunately, this place is not for you. I wanted so much to eat traditional food in a homey space but fortunately I enjoyed my selection of greens that I totally forgot that I was even in the Philippines. The pancit bihon was flavorful and not dry. The scallops were soft and garlicky without being overpowering. The pork BBQ skewers had that classic smoky sweetness and were nicely charred. Service is straightforward and the vibe is casual. This is not fast food. If you come hungry and in a rush, you will get frustrated. If you come expecting fresh, cooked-on-the-spot Filipino food, you will leave happy. This is the kind of place you go to slow down, eat well, and enjoy food that is made properly. A 10+ in the soup department. Also, Trang's is about a 25 minute drive from a beautiful hotel (Hotel BLue Panglao), which makes the entire stay that much better. I had some wonderful pictures that were lost when my phone was stolen by airport security, of all people, going through the scanner process. So, word to the wise, watch your personal effects when going through the Panglao "International" Airport.

We got some, but we're sadly disappointed. They had Kinilaw listed under specials but it definitely wasn't anywhere close to the same as the few times we have had it at The Bee Farm. The sauce was chunky, gritty, and super heavily spiced with ginger... so thick it was hard to pour over the fish. At The Bee Farm, the sauce is a smooth creamy sauce that had a great light flavor, and was served with cassava chips instead of brown rice. We were pretty disappointed, especially because our server told us one wouldn't be enough for two people so we ordered two. Then we didn't like them and left the majority of both on the table when we left. My other friend liked his salad with fruit and nut, though. That said, the mango shake (half sugar) I had was great and my friend liked his halo-halo. I definitely wouldn't come eat here again but still like the idea that it's there, in case I get a sweets craving. (And honestly, every time we have ordered Kinilaw from Bee Farm, they've changed something about it.
