I had plans of hitting the waterfront and saw this vintage store was on my way from the coffee shop I'd posted up at, so I made a point to wait until it opened to check it out. I was not disappointed! While the shop itself is a little small, it's very well-stocked and curated. Being a designer, I really appreciated the color coding of the clothing racks. It felt easy to peruse versus the feeling of being overwhelmed you might encounter in other vintage stores that sorta pack the racks in. I was surprised at how reasonably all the clothing was priced. They also had a really good selection of accessories and smaller items that would make good gifts. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to visit a local vintage store and this definitely left a good impression on me. There were a few things I wanted to try on, but didn't for fear I'd fall in love and buy. I sadly overpacked for this trip and knew I didn't have much space left in the suitcase. However, now I know that this is a spot to return to when I'm back in the area. Hopefully, much sooner than later.

There's a lovely selection of real vintage pieces, faithful reproductions, and vintage-style clothes from modern brands packed into this small store, and the price range is very reasonable (especially since everything is very high quality). The clothes are great, but the owner is who really made my experience awesome. Sometimes I feel self-conscious when going vintage shopping, but she was so friendly and encouraging that I quickly let go of feeling shy and tried on a whole pile of clothes. I had so much fun trying on different pieces that my "quick visit" went on for quite a while, and turned into the highlight of my day. I went in thinking that I'd maybe find one dress, and I left with three! I can't recommend this store enough. The next time I'm up near Stowe, I'll be sure to visit again.

I think having just better lighting would help, the whole place was extremely dark. Someone needs to go around with a duster or cloth and just wipe some of the products/shelves, they look dirty and dusty. There are some haphazardly placed items all over the place - and not very much household/clothing items. When we first walked in there was 1 couch and 1 chair for sale, then the first front wall had some random garden/outdoor equipement. There was 1 baby stroller, about 2 racks of clothing and the rest was mostly non perishable food items. If you are in need of condiments, canned food, cereals, and the like they have a decent selection although most items are expired. I was not expecting the best selection, but some items like medication/vitamines/baby accessories and baby sunscreens for example should not be sold if they are past their due date. Although it's cheap, I don't know why anyone would risk using expired sunscreen on their baby without knowing if it's effective? That's the kind of item I would not buy, I don't want to risk a sunburn on my sensitive baby's skin. I was hoping to find some hidden treasures and thought perhaps this place could be like Ollie's bargain bin but our party of 4 left feeling sketched out. If you're in the neighborhood, or close by in Burlington, VT, this is the place to go for clothes and shoes. They even have jewelry, purses, belts, and a whole bunch of other items I did not even get a chance to check out. Their clothing is top quality (I had three practically new winter coats I was choosing from) and at incredibly low prices. And best of all, proceeds go to the food bank they run out of the thrift store, to which you can also donate while paying for your ridiculously cheap new duds. I got a warm winter coat and a pair of oxfords for $11!! The ladies working their were also great and helped this California girl find a nice winter coat. As a currently plus sized girl who has had a hard time finding clothes that I love in my size anywhere in Vermont, I was worried that all these beautiful treasures wouldn't look so beautiful the moment I decided to try them on... you can imagine my surprise when more than half the items I took in actually fit me!! The woman working the desk (tall / thin / blond) was so helpful to my mom and sister, and was even able to find something that fit me just by looking at me and guessing my size and what style she thought would look best....The dress she picked fit my body and personality like a glove!!
