She did an awesome job as well as giving me snacks because she knew it was my birthday. I've been a client at Shampoo Salon for many, many years and I highly recommend it to anyone who will listen! Josipa is the sweetest, most patient hair stylist you'll ever meet. She knows what she's doing and it shows! I don't even tell her what I want done with my hair anymore. I learned a long time ago that she absolutely knows what will look best , and she's never let me down! Her knowledge is all based on her years and years of experience! and training, so you can always trust her to tell you if she believes that a certain cut or color might not work right, based on your features, but of course, she will do whatever you decide on and she'll do it beautifully!!! Another plus is that Shampoo Salon is a smaller salon with only 2-3 stylists working there. It's got a very chill, laid back vibe, unlike the new mega salons with about 25 stylists all working at the same time and rushing clients through like an assembly line.. Such a cute spot right off the Main Street of where everything is located in Gville , the owner is the sweetest lady , and they also have an in house esthetician who offers a whole range of services and specializes in Brazilian waxing and sugaring , her name is Stefania and she's a complete professional !, I felt at ease on my first visit and was surprised how quick and relatively painless she made the whole experience , I had a whole body wax And it took about 30 minutes . I decided to cut my medium long hair while on vacation in St Martin. The stylist did a fantastic job. Five weeks later I needed a very small trim. I went to this salon based on my friends recommendation. I told Courtney I wanted a very light trim and showed her pictures of my haircut in St Martin. Courtney told me she cuts very little at first and then can always cut more. She obviously didn't do that. She cut more than 2 inches off right away. I cried all the way home. I have never met a salon owner who cared more about her customers while delivering a personalized, relaxing, and professional experience. I first came to this salon in January 2013. Out of all of the salons that were reviewed on Google+, this one was (and is) the best. The proof is in the pudding. After 8 months of excellent service, I can say that I have never thought about letting any other stylist touch my hair. I feel very welcome every time I walk in, and from the other conversations I hear around the salon, I think many others feel the same way. I really enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of Shampoo Salon. It's also unbelievably convenient to get an appointment. I'm not much of a planner and I've never had an issue just calling up that day or even better scheduling an appointment online! They stay open until 8 pm too which is nice so I don't have to leave work early. It's nice to have a full service salon in the neighborhood that let's me feel like I've pampered myself without damaging my bank account. I went to Shampoo two weeks ago for a mani/pedi and was very satisfied with their tech, atmosphere, and that they were able to fit me in last minute. I purchased a pedicure off Living Social and was able to get in the same day (I originally booked an appointment for 2 days later, but they had a cancellation and I got in that day). The staff was very friendly - the owner took great care of me as a 37.5 week pregnant lady and made me hot tea while I relaxed and got my toes done. read more

I got two different Groupons: a pedicure and a facial respectively. Each had different staff and both were lovely. I am a Groupon-er if you will, and the facial was the best I've ever had. She did a bunch of extractions and different things based on my face that day; it wasn't cookie cutter "this is what you paid for" at all and I very much appreciated her for that. The pedi was a different day and I was late, which I felt bad about but they were accommodating, did good work. She was very focused on my nails, so it was a silent pedi, but honestly I enjoyed that. Good polish, all OPI. Clean tools. The hair stuff I saw was all Moroccan oil and Goldwell. I had a great experience, I might go back for these services at full price rates. read more

It has been over a year since I wrote this review. The owner is obviously not familiar with yelp and since discovering it....has tried to contact me to discuss a year later. I will say this, I do not recall much from a service I had over 12 months ago. However, it was my bad in not bringing this issue up with the owner at the time it happened. She has tried to offer me a "re-do" at no charge which I am sincerely not interested in at this point. However, I wanted to note that she has tried to "rectify" the experience I had back in 2011. read more

This is my second review at the same salon. The first hairdresser, Ala, that cut and highlighted my hair has left. I typically get my hair cut in NYC because I go back and forth from SC to NY. This year I won't be doing that. I asked Kelly Wrobel at the salon if she could follow my cut. I have many layers to it and some hairdressers either can't give me what I want or they don't know how to give layers. Not Kelly!! She followed my cut to the tee and did better than the salon I typically had cut it. I am so picky and she aced it!! I have been in SC for five years and it took me a long time to find a hairdresser. This girl has talent!! People are always asking who cuts my hair. I can't wait to get another haircut from her. read more

I bought a living social for $25 ($50 value) for a shampoo, Moroccan oil mask treatment, blow dry, and style. When I called to make the appointment I requested 5pm and they said no problem, when it was 4pm, I called back because my son was napping and requested it to be moved to 5:30 a lady asked the person who was supposed to do my hair if she could change it and the lady responded why? The appointment was supposed to be at 5! That should have been a big flag that it would not go well, the lady asked again can you do it, because if not I will and the matter was settled. When I got there, it was pleasant and the stylist asked what I wanted done, I said to blow dry and trim, she said the voucher didn't include the trim and I said ok, can I get it trimmed? She said yes, she washed my hair and all was fine, not the greatest but good enough, until in addition to the $25.00 voucher I was charged an additional $45.00 for a TRIM! My two cents is, do not buy a living social or a groupon to go to this place they will over charge you! the place was clean and decent but not $60's worth for a trim and a blow dry, oh and the treatment was product on your head for 5 mins with a mini massage. I received a coupon to go to this salon and must say I am a fan! The owner is incredibly kind and sweet! this is a cozy salon that really is there to make you happy. My haircut was very well done and they use great products like Moroccan Oil and Redken. I also had a massage which was pretty good, not my best ever, but good.
