I originally booked for a back surface piercing, but when I arrived, I was told the proper equipment for that service was not available. As a professional, that should have been confirmed before booking. Because of that, I was pressured into getting back dermals instead. My appointment was also rescheduled from 1 PM to 4 PM due to personal reasons, which was already inconvenient. I still showed up only to wait an additional hour because the piercer was late. Due to the time being reschedule I ended up spending $100 To get there. After the procedure, one dermal visibly looked shallow compared to the others. I brought this up immediately and was told to "wait." Nearly 3 days later, when I gently removed the bandage, that dermal came out completely with no snagging or trauma. The other three are perfectly fine, which makes it clear that one was not properly seated. I was told I would receive a refund due to the inconveniences, I received it later. Overall, this experience involved multiple inconveniences, lack of proper preparation, and a piercing that failed within days. I would not recommend booking unless you are prepared for rescheduling issues and incomplete setup. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision.

The Fine Art pieces at the end of the Gallery! It will show you more thoroughly what I do best. Art Restoration: I restore and repair a diversity of art forms; art ranging in different mediums. I'm not experienced in doing portraits, so I try to stay away from working on paintings with people. I've repaired several kinds of pottery pieces, china, and other mediums, as well as repaired tears in paintings (modern art as well as antique oil paintings). This requires a great deal of care and tedious work. I will also restore the frame, which often needs repair as much as the painting. Antiques: I restore & repair small antique furniture as well as art pieces of all forms. I used to do larger furniture pieces but can no longer handle the toll it takes on my body. I have several years of experience and training in art & color matching and have worked on furniture pieces ranging from the 1800s to the current day. Please feel free to contact me at any time so we can discuss your project. In the meantime, look through my photo gallery and feel free to ask any questions. I also have many references if you'd like to contact a few prior clients. Thank you so much for visiting my page, and I hope to be talking to you soon.

My now husband and I had settled on a…read moreFrench Provencal venue outside of Austin, Texas - and I was looking at ways to make our wedding special. I really wanted it to have a French feel without being super over the top themed (I am half French, and knew that we were going to have actual people from France at our wedding). My husband had just vetoed a photo booth, so I had a thought, "I wonder if there is a watercolor artist who paints portraits, kind of like they do in (albeit my favorite) touristy part of Montmartre," and quickly started googling on a Friday evening. My efforts paid off in spades and led me to a buzzfeed article about Maggie and her 5 minute watercolor portraits. By Sunday evening, we were chatting on the phone with Maggie with a plan in place and had her booked that same night! In the year or so leading up to the wedding, Maggie was always easy to reach (and super sweet at that) whenever I had any questions come up, and I was beyond excited to actually meet her and see her talent in person. She very kindly did portraits of my then fiancé and I in advance, as well as one of our two dogs at my request. They turned out so beautifully, and she brought them framed to have displayed at our wedding. But really - our guests have not stopped gushing about Maggie. I was so sad that I literally only got to spend about 30 seconds with her after all this time, but everyone was so excited and interested in having Maggie paint their portrait! Ultimately she was able to paint about 70 out of our 105 guests. She arrived and set up before our ceremony, so I know a few people who arrived early and got portraits then - including 2 of my junior bridesmaids who had snuck out while we were getting ready. According to everyone (and my firsthand experience), Maggie was nothing but lovely, fun, and professional. It has been so fun to see our guests' portraits as they share them with us or pop up on facebook. We even got the added bonus of being featured in her new video series, The Wedding Painter, and have a super special video souvenir of our wedding day that we would not have had without Maggie. Thank you so much Maggie for making our day so special! Your talent and skillset are truly unique, and I hope that one day we can actually spend more than 30 seconds together, because I just want to be friends with you! If you are considering hiring Maggie for your wedding or event - DO IT! Do it early! She's a true gem, and you will have a difficult time finding anyone else that holds a candle to her!

Everyone at our wedding commented how amazing it was to have someone actually live paint their portraits! I wanted our guests to feel special as a thank you for being a part of our day and this one definitely delivered. I wanted something personal but classy and Maggie was the way to go. Maggie's art is not only beautiful and a great gift to treasure for a lifetime but something also has to be said for her speed! She cranked out those portraits as if she was in a race and she did not look one bit frazzled. Thank you so much for making our day extra special! Be sure to book her at your next event :)

The bathroom has become dreamy, serene and joyful, and I find myself walking in there all the time just to admire the scenery. I highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a muralist. She is a skilled painter; the way she filled in the mural around the skylight and ceiling lights worked perfectly. She has a great eye for color and detail and her suggestions were excellent (go with her advice if she tells you to go for a less saturated tone than you had in mind--you will be glad you listened to her). She is easy to work with, and her pricing is very reasonable. She knows her stuff!
