However, I'm thrilled Moksha Kingston is now open! What really impressed me - beyond the gorgeous space, wonderful staff, and lovely studio - is the consistency in the Moksha brand. I felt immediately at home here and it reminded me of all the reasons I loved the Halifax studio. Can't wait to get to more classes!

And from that moment, I was hooked. I can't remember the last time I've been to a restorative class, because I'm a little obsessed with the power classes. All the instructors (Dallas, Jen, Kathryn, Russell, Jael) and the space is amazing. I used to have an unlimited monthly membership but they are now Kingston's first donation-based yoga centre. The suggested donation is $14 but they really do stress that there is no top or bottom. Check it out - maybe I'll see you there!

About a hour or so we noticed a odd odor inside motel room - girlfriend found 2 air fresheners in that tiny room which told me something was wrong. anyhow when we finally attempted to go to bed my girlfriend started on twin bed and she was there maybe 15min and said she couldn't take it any longer the springs were pushing in her back and she was hurting from it. so we switched beds the other bed was a double bed and a bit more comfortable; after 3 hrs I had enough of the twin bed myself and knew if I stayed in it any longer I would not be able to walk in the morning from severe back pain - so we got maybe 3hrs sleep - went over to office at 7am and complained to owner - she also seemed concerned that my girlfriend asthma was bothering her and offered to put us in one of the cottages - owners husband wanted to put us in another motel room but it seemed it would be as bad so we went to the cottage - beds were better but not by much - cottage seemed clean - but bathroom very tiny and ignitor for gas grill missing as was most of them on all the grills. seemed something broken wherever you looked. the stairs to dock were a bit wobbly as was the railing. If you do stay here AVOID Motel part and stay in one of the cottages. But personally my best advice I would not stay here again and would recommend you to stay elsewhere. the old saying you get what you pay for.

The instructor was kind of "manic-frazzled" and rushed...had a very unsettling vibe. Like many hot yoga studios, she spewed the usual stuff about "sweating out toxins" (what does that even mean???) and insisted on stretching until it hurt. Fine, whatever. The room was waaaaaaay too hot...mid-class it had reached nearly 133 degrees ferenheit, far above the105 degrees that is suggested for Bikram. I noticed several people laying down/feeling awful durng class....not a good sign. Overall, I didn't come away feeling confident that this studio realized the responsibility it has to not only offer hot yoga, but to do so in a safe and controlled environment.

The location of this Inn was super close to restaurants and the Harbor(right in front of the Harbor), Sackets Harbor village is lovely also! I would definitely stay there again. Judy was wonderful managing our reservation and warmly greeted us when we arrived. I like the concept of boutique hotels but sometimes find they can be too cramped or stuffy, not the Harbor House Inn. It's intimate but rooms are spacious so you feel like you can breathe. The room was absolutely amazing, farmhouse chic with a splash of coastal aesthetic. The soaking tub was to die for! The bed was very comfy. All the staff were friendly. Our room had a partial view of the lake, was a welcome surprise. The hotel is right in the center of town, perfect walking location to the battlefield, shops and eateries. All we wanted was a night away from the little ones but Harbor House Inn delivered a sweet experience. Highly recommend and will definitely return. It was worth the money spent!

A plain white cylindrical shape, it stands 58 feet tall with a focal height of 69 feet. The current lighthouse is the second on the site, constructed and first lit in 1854 replacing the first one that was built in 1827. It remains an active aid to navigation. I did get to watch one ship passing by - the Canadian-flagged Algoma Innovator is a bulk carrier that was headed from Port Weller to Cote Saint Catherine. The hot room is seriously HOT (which I love!). There is nothing more disappointing then showing up for a hot class that is more like warm or hot-ish. Not a problem at Samatva! The only downside to the studio is that classes are not carried out if less than 2 students attend. This has been an issue for me a couple of times which is a pain when you drive 20 mins into town just for class.

While this port town will never be mistaken for its it more popular, more sunny, more reggaed, more Rastifaried, more spring-breaked Jamaican counterpart, it's definitely a gem worth visiting. Kingston is a UNESCO World Heritage Destination found on the convergence of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. One of its most popular activities is boating ... either staying on a house on the water or if a true tourist like myself, taking a ship through the Thousand Islands. While there are countless options, I have recommended in another review (https://urlzs.com/Swzxt) hopping aboard the Island Belle by "Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises" on their Discovery Cruise. Whether them, St. Lawrence Cruise Lines, Kingston Trolley, or other providers, I imagine it's hard to go wrong as the Islands are stunning. I recommend starting at the Kingston Visitor Information Centre (which I have also reviewed here: https://urlzs.com/DCcnD). They can get your visit on the right track (and can get you tickets to things like the cruises here. However, there's a lot to see right there by the Visitor Information Centre: City Hall across the street, Confederation Park and Fountain behind it, the BIG LETTERS for Kingston (with the "I" absent so people can stand there :), and the famed Canadian Pacific steam train, "Spirit of Sir John A." We came in on a Sunday. While I must warn that on Sunday some businesses are closed, there is still plenty to do. On our first visit to the big K on a Sunday, there was the Kingston Sunday Antique Market. Some cool stuff ... it's behind City Hall on King St, between Market & Brock streets (April - October, weather permitting). I recommend getting the "K-Pass", which includes that Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises as well as the Kingston Trolley Tour. Other sights and attractions are included, such as Fort Henry, SanTur Brewing, The Kingston Pen, Ahoy Bike Rentals, "The Haunted Walk" and a whole bunch of other things I can't remember. Don't forget there are several ways to get to Kingston, including VIA Rail that stops here on the way back and forth betwixt Montreal and Toronto. You really haven't seen Ontario until you've seen Kingston. I can't wait to return!
