My wife, daughter, and I were looking for a taste of home during our Mexico City visit, and Chef Dharam delivered beyond anything we hoped for. This isn't fancy restaurant food. It's the kind of cooking that tastes like someone's mom or grandmother made it just for you. And that, for our family, is the highest compliment possible.
Chef Dharam is the real deal. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does. The Palak Paneer was creamy, well-spiced, and comforting in the best way. The Aloo Parantha was stuffed so generously (not the skimpy kind you sometimes get) and paired perfectly with a side of yogurt. We also had Chhole Bhature and regular parantha, and every single thing on the table was finished. My daughter, who can be quite the food critic, cleaned her plate without a word of complaint. That says it all.
Here's the moment that really got us though. We asked about Bhindi Masala and Chef Dharam told us okra was out of season. Instead of just shrugging it off, he offered to personally get some in the next day and told us to check with him before coming back. We honestly didn't think much of it, but sure enough, he came through. The Bhindi Masala was ready and it was fantastic. My wife was thrilled!
That kind of thoughtfulness is rare anywhere in the world, let alone in a small neighborhood restaurant. Our whole family is already planning our next Mexico City trip around coming back here. Chef Dharam, thank you so much. You made our visit truly special.
