Okay, so I'm going to try to keep this succinct. This is BY FAR the WORST PF location I have been…read moreto (and I have been to A LOT). The staff is fine - no issues with friendliness or anything like that, but the actual gym itself... yikes. 1) DO NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES drink the water from the fountain/water refill station in this gym. The refill light is (and has been) red for who knows how long, but the staff just put a piece of electrical tape over the lights so you can't outright see that. Jeez. Like just order a filter replacement! The station itself is also FILTHY. 2) Several pieces of broken equipment at this location, and not just broken, but not very well maintained generally speaking. There is no level of care put into maintaining this gym at all. It's not at all treated like something they want to last. It isn't outright dirty and gross, but it is by no means the most clean location that I've been to. Those are my two biggest issues with this location. It has potential (especially being that it's the only location in the city), but it just kind of sucks, and the lack of integrity (the water refill station thing really irks my nerves - because it's the simple things) is disheartening. Two stars instead of one for the simple fact that it does have the things you need generally speaking.

One strange tanning booth set up on the exercise floor. Adequate cardio machines, well maintained. Each machine has its own TV screen with closed captioning or headphone jack. One each of main resistance machines, weight training equipment. Just a couple of things I missed having. It is very cramped and I would not want to be here at peak times. Your free week intro is only 5 days since you can't come on the weekends when it's not staffed. A key is required to get in so as a newbie you have to call to get them to open the door. Convenience would be the only reason to have a membership here. For the money you pay, I prefer a full service facility.

She charged me a good rate for the week to include tanning. The gym has all new equipment. With the pass key, I could workout whenever I wanted to depending on my schedule. Since I have a few running injuries, they Cybex Arc Trainer I normally use is a hard to find item. Snap has 5 of them. Too Cool. Steve's style strikes a great balance between demanding coach and fun motivating leader. He does a good job of calling attention to proper technique errors without imposing on the workout. He's also superb at keeping the class moving along and on schedule, which is no small feat for a CrossFit class. Everyone at the gym was super friendly and made me feel right at home. As a drop in I felt welcomed like one of their own. CrossFit boxes are far between in this part of the world. If you are either a CrossFitter traveling to Meridian, MS or a local looking to get in great shape, going to Caustic CrossFit is a no brainer. Go there.

You can bring a friend or get paired up and make a new one. It's a great way to connect with others while getting stronger. The gym also offers 24/7 access so you can workout anytime day or night.
