Initially, we reached…read moreout to retain Kristen Holstrom, but during the consultation, Timothy McArdle joined the call and outlined a clear plan for our case. Both were knowledgeable, and we retained Timothy. Our case was resolved out of court with a favorable modification to the custody schedule. Timothy took the time to understand the details of our situation and consistently showed empathy and reassurance throughout the process. He was professional, well spoken, direct, and knew the case like the back of his hand. His case coordinator, James Chase, was responsive, which helped us feel informed at every step. Family court is stressful, and clear communication made a difference. The firm is expensive, but for us, the results were worth it. We now have peace of mind knowing we have strong representation advocating for my husband's rights as a father. Highly recommend if you're seeking counsel to represent you to go the distance.

I hired Brittany Van Veen after speaking with three other divorce attorneys. I chose her because…read moreshe presented herself well during our initial phone call and appeared to understand that my businesses were my most significant assets and needed careful handling. After approximately eight months of representation and about $20,000+ in legal fees, she informed me that she would no longer represent me. Looking back, I believe the breakdown was largely caused by a serious communication disconnect that could likely have been resolved through one meaningful conversation. Most communication during my case occurred by email. Although email was convenient for routine matters, I spoke with Brittany by phone only two or three times during the entire eight months. As someone going through a divorce for the first time, I did not understand every possible legal scenario, procedural limitation, or consequence. I had certain expectations about what could be completed in order to finalize the divorce quickly, and those expectations turned out to be incorrect. I was frustrated, but I needed my attorney to explain the process, ask questions about my goals, and help identify where the misunderstanding had occurred. Instead, I felt that the communication breakdown was placed entirely on me. I was sent paperwork ending the representation rather than being given an opportunity to have a genuine conversation and repair the attorney-client relationship. The following day, while representing myself, I contacted my former spouse's attorney directly, and we were able to resolve the remaining issues within approximately two days. One of my deepest regrets is that I gave up the opportunity to pursue spousal support because I believed doing so would help bring the divorce to a faster conclusion. I now understand that my expectations were not aligned with the actual process, but that was precisely why I had retained experienced legal counsel. A client hires a divorce attorney because the attorney understands the courts, filings, legal strategy, and consequences that the client does not. I had previously considered transferring my case to another attorney because of other communication concerns, but I was already emotionally overwhelmed, financially invested, and concerned about paying another lawyer to review eight months of work before taking over. That is an extremely vulnerable position for any client. I cannot speak to Brittany's intentions, but I can speak to my experience: I felt unheard, unsupported, and abandoned during a period when I was relying heavily on professional guidance. She was paid for her work, but I was left to manage the final stage of my case alone. It has taken me 2 years to feel capable of writing this review. Interestingly, it was not the divorce itself that required the most emotional recovery. I chose the divorce and remain grateful that I made that decision. What has stayed with me is the regret of placing my trust, vulnerability, and financial resources with a firm where I ultimately did not feel understood or protected. I would like to add that the firm did not even reach out or try to change attorneys within the firm so this is not just a Brittany Van Veen experience. This is absolutely a HOLSTROM Block and Parke experience. Prospective clients should ask detailed questions about how frequently they will be able to speak directly with their attorney, how disagreements or misunderstandings are handled, and what circumstances could cause the firm to withdraw from representation. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this attorney or firm.

My husband and I came across Heavenly Portraits while at Muckenthaler Mansion, where we had our wedding. While talking with the wedding planner at the Mansion, there was a table full of photo books and one stood out to both my husband and I, prompting us to say "we want that photographer". The book itself was unlike any we've ever seen and instead of seeing the same mundane wedding photos, what we saw was the story of a beautiful couple celebrating such a significant day in their lives. The photos captured who the couple were and I can honestly say, there wasn't a bad photo in there. I wrote down "Heavenly Portraits" to remind myself to look them up when we got home. Along with searching and looking at Heavenly's portfolio, I searched at least 15 other photographer and NONE of them compared to Heavenly Portraits when it came to quality, shots and overall looks. I knew that Heavenly Portraits had to do our wedding and if they couldn't, well the world would end, lol. Heavenly Portraits is the brilliant and loveable husband/wife team, Donny and Holly. Due to the fact that Holly was due with their 4th child around the time of our wedding, it was just Donny covering the engagement session and wedding; however, you wouldn't be able to tell because he moves around faster and swifter than a secret ninja and gets all the good shots. In fact, one of my bridesmaid kept saying how impressed she was because every time she turned around, there he was capturing yet another amazing moment during our wedding. Instead of doing a guest book at our wedding, we had one of our engagement photos printed and framed for guests to sign. I can't tell you how many friends and family complimented the photo and family was asking me how they could purchase that print because they wanted a copy for themselves! I'm so fortunate and grateful to have had Heavenly Portraits do our wedding. They now have a client for life.

I would give more stars for the cleaning itself less stars for the management. The cleaners did a…read moregreat job! My issue is I waited for them to arrive for 3 hours and the owner wasn't very responsive. They were supposed to come between 11-12. They ended up getting there at 2pm. So I waited 3 hours for the cleaning service. When she finally replied she said she didn't have service but she sent me a msg on yelp which I couldn't use since I had no wifi since this was a move in clean. She said they were going to be late but she didn't give any specifics. I had to have my husband send a message on yelp from my iPad at home since I had no wifi asking her to call me. I also text and called for about 40 min before I got a response. Once I did get a response I was told they would be there within an hour (which would have been already over 2 hours waiting). They didn't get there until 2pm. I was quoted $140-$180 for a 1000 sq ft move in cleaning for a 2 bedroom house. After all this I expected and requested a discount since I literally could have done the cleaning myself in the 3 hrs I waited. She charged me the max of $180 and added on deep cleaning the cabinets. The cabinets are old and definitely needed cleaning but the basic cleaning was included in the price. When I saw the cabinets after they looked clean but there weren't any stains prior (just scrapes and scratches since they're old) they literally looked the same just no debris which to me would have been the same with the basic cleaning. I expressed my concern to the owner and she seemed annoyed and told me they threw in the deep cabinet clean for free. I'm like I waited 3 hrs. You guys couldn't have made it the cheaper price and thrown in the deep clean I didn't ask for? I also thought the windows cleaning was included which was my fault bc it says it wasn't on the paper but I'm like I waited 3 hours and am paying the max you can't throw in the windows too? She was very short and didn't seem too concerned about the inconvenience. I originally hired cleaners because the old owner left the place in bad condition and we have had to do so much thus far just to make it livable I wanted to save time but this took 5+ hours including wait time so I could have definitely just done it. The cleaning took only 2 hours so I waited longer than the cleaning took. Not to mention this house isn't moved in yet so waiting there for 3 hours was really uncomfortable. If they get there on time and respond it's a good price and good clean but if not it's not worth it. Huge headache.

Update: Point proven with managerial response…read more Extremely poor customer service. The cleaning job was satisfactory if it wasn't riddled with the managerial rudeness. Something broken after a cleaning job with photos to prove it wasn't broken before- yep I'm in the wrong. Do not worry though they will respond with a very long copy and paste statement of how we are wrong and it must've been there before (again photos to prove it wasn't). I am also sure there will be a copy and paste response to this Yelp review, as I am sure this is not the first they have "dealt" with.
