During that time I had to look for medical care elsewhere and discovered Pacific Medical. My initial contact was with a receptionist (name ?) who was the most pleasant receptionist I believe I've ever met. She was so helpful and arranged an appointment for me to meet a new PCP (Primary Care Physician). She transferred all my medical records from UW Medicine making the process painless. Did I mention the receptionist was so very pleasant? After my initial meeting with my new PCP, I was thoroughly impressed with the staff at Pacific Medical. The medical facility is really close by my apartment, so traveling back and forth is not a problem. Lots of parking, with about half dozen Handicap parking stalls directly out from the front door of the clinic. Perhaps the time spent with negotiations between Aetna & UW Medicine was my good luck.

I was extremely nervous, but once we started talking, he was such a kind and caring man, that my nerves just faded. Every doctor I have been to in the past types their notes as they talk to me and I don't really feel heard. I am very grateful that I found him and I also want to say how appreciative I am of his nurse, Caroline, for reaching out to me personally the week prior to see how I was doing. I can't remember any prior doctor's office staff reaching out to me like that and she spent a considerable amount of time talking to me. I felt so much better after our chat! I will no longer return to this office due to the shoddy service received here. The doctor clearly overwhelms his schedule to the point patients wait 45-60 minutes past their scheduled time. When you do see him, the entire visit lasts less than 10 minutes. On top of that, he offers no advice, personalized care, or any real conversation. He clearly wants people in and out as fast as possible. They will bill you through the roof, though, for the 10 minutes they see you. Office staff is also inexperienced, apathetic, and some of the billing managers are rude.

I was given a physical, but I did NOT receive a Medicare physical - and I only know this only because when I returned in 2023, the Medicare physical I received was entirely different than the one the year before. Before I went in for the physical in 2023, I asked how long it would take and the receptionist said 30 minutes. This is important to me, as I am a teacher and need to let the school know about coverage. While at the appointment, they told me they needed a urine sample. If I'd known I would not have gone to the bathroom before I left for the appointment. When the Nurse Practitioner Mann came into the room (30 minutes later) and asked about the urine sample - when I explained - she gave me a bottle of water. Why didn't her staff do that? They just kept pointing me to the bathroom and telling me to try. Also - when it was time to be weighed, I walked toward the scale - a medical looking scale - and was told, "No not that one" and they brought out a bathroom scale that was dirty and broken on one side. Whaaaaat? That appointment took an hour and 30 minutes. An hour more than what I was told!! After that hour and a half appt, I received the results of the blood work and needed a follow up appt, but - I also needed another appointment for a follow up on cat bite I'd had treated at Urgent Care. I called to make an appointment and to see if the appointments could be combined. The receptionist said she wasn't sure, but would check. I then asked how long she thought it would take if..... and before I could finish my sentence she said "30 minutes". Ugh. I was really upset and told her to let me talk to someone who knew the answers. Amandeep Mann got on the phone and I told her how I had been misinformed about the approximate length of my last appointment, and that her staff didn't seem to know answers. She said, "We are doing our best here!" And I said, "Well it's not good enough!" and she said, "Well then you can go and find another doctor!" I said, "I will!" - and that was then end of them. If a medical office does not have a staff that makes patients feel cared for, and it cannot provide what it's supposed to during an appointment, and it's a little dirty - I don't want to be there. I have a doctor at UW Valley Med now, and I feel very cared for. I do not recommend Kent Family Practice at all!!!

She even lifted up her shirt at one point and showed me surgical scars on her stomach from getting her ovaries removed while she was doing my X-rays when I didn't ask and I just stood there awkwardly. The doctor smelt like urine and was very hard on my body when I was just involved in a car accident 6 days ago. He also said "definitely a female" when checking off my gender on the computer. He kept complaining that I was too tense and I needed to relax when I was anxious and unable to calm down. He touched me with his bare hands the whole time without gloves and was touching me aggressively on my head and my back side. A man in the lobby told me to suck water out of the water bubbler instead of getting the cup that I asked for. And the receptionist just laughed while the doctor stood there and said nothing. I wanted to leave the minute I got there but I was too anxious to say anything. I ended up crying to my fiance on the phone when I got into the car and I will never go back to this establishment. If you are a woman, I highly recommend looking into other chiropractor options.

My husband and I were having stomach pain and bloating for a while and her food allergy test + natural supplements helped us feel much better and loose weight. I own a business too and can totally understand that sometimes Interns don't do things perfectly and that's why they are Interns so they can have a chance to learn. I have talked to Chris (office manager) on the phone and I agree with the person who wrote the review above, it's sometimes hard to understand him but that's how his voice really is & he tries to talk as loud as he can. I think that if he is a good office manager he deserves that job even if his voice is not the best on the phone.

I wouldn't say that Dr. Falanga is the warmest person I've ever met, and she definitely tells you like it is, but her intuition is unmatched and she's never steered me wrong. From broken bones, to allergic reactions to late night FaceTime phone consults to informed vax info and everything in between, Dr. Falanga is a rare find. She's a great fit for my family. It's true that years ago the front desk gal wasn't very organized or friendly, and I have had to play phone tag with her insurance guy a few times. But honestly there's ALWAYS delays in medical insurance, and I've had way worse problems at other doctors' offices. The medical field is just a tad disorganized overall. BUT, they've upgraded to a well organized, quirky woman for the front desk. I've been through several insurance providers over that time and our coverage has varied but I've kept going to Nature Family Medicine even if it means paying a little more out of pocket.
