For the past 21 years I have only allowed Northside Animal Hospital to take care of and treat my…read morepets. The veterinarian there is most compassionate towards my pets, has the animals' best Interest and welfare at heart, and is the same towards the other pets in his office from what I have observed during my visits. I find it extremely difficult to believe anything which was previously written in the terrible review of this animal hospital. This person stated the veterinarian hurt his/her animal "on purpose" while out of the presence of the owner. The owner does not know what occurred because he/she did not see first-hand what happened and is only assuming something. If lab work was drawn on the pet that day, then yes, the animal would be tender for a couple of days afterwards, just as people are after receiving injections. If this animal became "so weak and almost died," I do not understand why the owner neglected their pet and did not attempt to seek prompt medical treatment for the animal. Also, to my knowledge an animal's records are not required when taking a pet to an emergency clinic or any other animal hospital, unless that animal is being boarded, in which case if an animal were to be boarded emergently any veterinarian's office can call to confirm shot record histories. The veterinarian at Northside Animal Hospital is the only veterinarian I wish to have treat my precious pets. He is extremely intelligent and is an excellent diagnostician. Obviously the person who wrote the previous review of this animal hospital is apparently confused as to which animal hospital he/she visited.

This Veterinarian Hospital is expensive, but they all are. The Dr. here really knows what she is…read moredoing and has seriously helped 3 of my cats. One cat was on deaths door and she completely turned him around. We picked up a stray that had multiple injuries and was FIV positive. She gave us the best treatment plan and medications for him and he is thriving now. If you don't want to spend as much as they recommend they will come up with the best treatment plan possible within those constraints for your pet. You might find cheaper care somewhere but we love our cats and dogs like they are our children and want the best care for them. They provide that.

I am not in any way telling you not to go to this vet…read morebut I do want you all to know my experience with Faithful Friends before you visit this office. I have a 6 lb yorkie that we started taking to Faithful Friends for health checkups. We noticed at that time that the policy at the office was to drop your pet off for the day while they do whatever to them. It doesn't matter if you have questions for the doctor, you won't see her. I'm still not convinced that Dr. Heath actually exists. And you can't be sure that they do what they charge you for. Speaking of charging; they are crazy expensive and will nickel and dime you for everything that they can. They even charge you to get your prescription filled anywhere other than their office, which is ridiculous. Recently I took my yorkie in for a bulge on his rear end. When we dropped him off (because you never SEE THE DOCTOR) we told the nice lady at the front that we thought it was a blocked anal gland and that we needed it checked. Fast forward: we pick him up and the same nice lady (because you don't SPEAK WITH THE DOCTOR) told us yes it was a blocked anal gland basically just told us they expressed it (for a $40 charge, of course) and it was fine. Over the next few weeks it gets worse. So we headed over to the Welcome Waggin' for a second opinion. Dr Worthington (who we met with IN PERSON) took one look at my boy and said "that's not an anal gland; it's a hernia and it is an emergency." My yorkie was referred to a specialist for surgery and it has been taken care of. Y'all, I don't know what they are doing over there at Faithful Friends but it looks like she is more concerned with money than the sweet babies that come through her office. We will not be back.
