I brought the vehicle to a Dodge dealership, where a full diagnostic was completed. They submitted the claims expecting coverage in line with the warranty information. However, none of the repairs were approved, which was both frustrating and costly. Despite purchasing one of the higher-tier warranty options, it proved essentially useless for common issues like seals, gaskets, tie rods, and ball joints. In hindsight, I acknowledge that I should have reviewed the fine print more carefully, but I also feel I was misled by the information provided at the time of sale. Offering multiple tiers of coverage where the lower levels provide minimal real protection is misleading. It would be more transparent to offer a single, clearly defined level of coverage rather than presenting options that may give a false sense of security.

We needed coverage for our new home, and our realtor recommended Plains Insurance for quick and simple. They were quick and simple. So simple, that when it came time to renew our Edmonton address coverage, we emailed some questions and got a response right away with a quote from Plains Insurance. We signed and paid for the year shortly after. I cannot possibly explain the nightmare this could have turned into. I received the renewal info and thought it was odd that it only had our St. Albert address on it - not the RISK address in Edmonton. I thought this was odd, so I called Plains and spoke with Adrienne. She mentioned the St. Albert address but could not find the "Risk address" anywhere in the system for about fifteen minutes, my guess was that she likely went through past emails to find the initial quote/address we received by email last year. She said the system had the already insured St. Albert address as the risk address, but assured me that it was still insured as the Edmonton address and said the price was the same because of this fact. She said new paper work with the proper address attached would be sent out shortly, BUT THE PRICE WOULD BE THE SAME. Imagine my surprise when three days later I went to pay the insurance for this year, and was informed that with the POSTAL CODE change, the rate went up almost $100 dollars. Uhmm... postal code change? Now I'm confused. So my Edmonton home WAS NOT insured for the last year, but rather you somehow found a way to insure my St. Albert address TWICE? No, Adrienne assures me there would have been no issue had we been in the unfortunate situation last year where we might have had to file a claim against the Edmonton home. She says they would have just told SGI about the mix up and they would've covered it just the same... I'm not sure if y'all have had to make an insurance claim against a property in the past, but it is literally ANYTHING BUT EASY. She further went on to say that if we had updated the last years forms postal code, we would have to pay more because of the price difference - this makes zero sense when you are claiming there would have been no issues in the case of a claim. Insurance companies want their money - they don't care if a broker made a mix-up with the wring postal code. If an insurance company can get out of paying, they will - and I wholeheartedly believe this would have been a way out for them. Call it a hunch, I don't think Plains would have covered us in that event. This was a nightmare experience, made worse by being charged almost $100 more than my initial quote for something that was the mistake of the brokers. The only thing that would have made this experience worse, is if something had happened to the home in the last year, and I genuinely don't even want to imagine what that would've been like. Furthermore, when I gave Adrienne the info to pay, I asked if I could be refunded the unused portion once I find someone else to go with (she knew how unimpressed I was with this mess). She proceeded to ask me (in her usual condescending tone) if I would like a cancellation slip emailed with my receipt to make it easier. Obviously, but I think you ought to know your customer service is SERIOUSLY lacking. I requested a cancellation slip for each property, and will start looking for quotes elsewhere immediately.

I was forced to call their quoting service, where I spent multiple days waiting 3-4 hours on hold only for no one to pick up. After finally getting quoted through e-mail, they dragged their feet until I missed out on a renewal discount, and quoted me $200 more on my premium a year because of it. I spent over a month getting jerked around, yet within an hour I got a quote with another company for cheaper than what the Co-operators quoted. Absolutely disgraceful service, if you can even GET service. Would not recommend under any circumstance.

It has caused me nothing but stress, time away from work and financial hardship. My broker has changed multiple times during my 1 year being insured with Leibel. I actually don't even know who my broker is because I am always receiving contact from other people. The broker I am constantly referred back to (Chelsea Thomas) has some of the worse attitude and customer service I have ever encountered. She truly should not be in the industry as you can tell that she doesn't enjoy her job. She constantly has a poor attitude and is extremely difficult to contact even for other brokers. She has been nothing but unhelpful and rude to me. I have been told multiple things by multiple people looking for resolutions but I am always brought back to Chelsea who ultimately tells me nothing can be done. She has actually done NOTHING to assist me other than telling me "she can't help". That has been the furthest extent of conversation from her. I almost wonder if she knows me personally and has some type of vendetta out for me, because I really have never been treated this poorly not even by her co workers. This company has taken over $900 from me that was unauthorized. They did not provide me informed consent, and are now being so ridiculously unavailable and unhelpful it's just mind boggling. It's crazy that it is easier to file a fraud claim with my bank than it is to try and just resolve the issue with Leibel. I am hoping this review will get my situation rectified as I was nothing but a good client who paid on time. At this point, I will not be recommending this company to anyone. If no resolve is made or contact attempts returned, I am just going to proceed with my bank, I will also be filing a complaint against the broker with her association as well as contacting the BBB to complain. If the news is willing to take this story, I will also be doing this as I don't want anyone to suffer the stress I am dealing with. This has had such a tremendous impact on me, truly I do not even know the words to try and explain the gravity of how serious it is that YOU AVOID LEIBEL INSURANCE.
