This was my first time here and I tried their Victoria Day Weekend Deal. It was a bundle deal: 1 queen chicken shawarma wrap and 1 queen chicken meal for $15.99. Overall it tasted good and was a lot of food. The chicken shawarma wrap was good but it didn't get any pomegranate sauce. Though I'm grateful to the server when I asked for more chicken and garlic sauce on top of the wrap so it can look like what's advertised on social media. It just looks better! The chicken meal was good and had lots of fries. I liked the Cole slaw and marinated veggies. But I found it difficult eating the chicken shawarma wrap because they are cut into small pieces and filling kept falling out. The place was spacious with lots of tables so I dined in. I was in this section of Scarborough for a late lunch at McDonald's, followed by some shopping at Rexall. Shawarma Royale is in the same plaza, next door to Rexall. It was 5 pm and I was looking for a place to get some takeout for dinner. I looked at my Uber Eats app and saw a BOGO deal at Shawarma Royale. I went ahead and ordered two chicken shawarma on rice meals. The app said that it would take between five to fifteen minutes. My order was ready in less than ten minutes. Insane! There's plenty of parking in this plaza. It does get busy with a lot of impatient folks who enjoy leaning on their car's horns. Ignore them, find a spot, and park. I did and walked into the eatery. It looks pretty new. It was spacious and so pretty. I loved the flowers on fake verandas. I want a fake veranda now! There were two men handling food behind the counter. I showed one of them my Uber Eats order number from my phone (I love this feature, which makes it so easy compared to digging up the number in the past and rattling it off). He saw it, looked at the bag on the counter, and handed it over. I wished him a great day. He reciprocated. I left happy with my bundle of food happiness. This restaurant has daily specials. They look good both from yummy and price perspectives. I drove home and had one of the meals. I'll be having the other for dinner tonight. The meals come in styrofoam boxes. They aren't packed full. If you are the type who expects a full box of food, you may be sad. However, I liked it being 75% full, especially when it comes to rice. I normally like salad over rice, so less rice is more for me. I'm avoiding a full-blown carb coma here. It's more like a mild slumber. The rice was good. It was a bit bland, but the chicken, garlic sauce, and tahini make up for it. The chicken was tender and mildly seasoned. It could use more charring, but it wasn't horrible. I loved the garlic sauce and tahini. You could taste the garlic, although I could probably go stronger. My garlicky breath wasn't enough to make others around me run for the hills, but it was there that they'd still want to hang out with me. The tahini was so creamy and yummy. The place has Barbican beverages. I was tempted to get one, but I had purchased a bunch of drinks earlier than I didn't need any more. I want the shawarma poutine. The photo looked good that I hope that the real deal is similar. It's a decent additional to a plaza with a Chick N Joy and McDonald's. I'd return for more when I'm in the area again. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma bowl from the Yonge Street location yesterday. it was the worst thing I've ever eaten. The pieces of chicken, rather the crumbs of chicken, were dried up. They look like pieces of ground chicken that had been fried. Or they could've been the crumbs from the tray under the spit. They were definitely not shaved or sliced off. I will not go there again or to any of their other locations. read more

I love shawarma and had been seeing quite a few Shawarma Royale ads on FB and IG. I thought I'd check it out today after seeing the ads for months. I got 2 chicken shawarma plates with chicken, rice and salad. There was only one worker and prep time took over 10 minutes which is not a problem if it's good food, but the food was not that good. The rice and some of the chicken was dry. The was salad coleslaw and pickles, they didn't give lettuce, tomatoes or ask me if I wanted any of that. Portion was small. Came in at around 10pm to grab a plate of chicken shawarma. They sliced off the chicken from the Shawarma rotisserie and placed it on a flat top grill for another 5 minutes. This resulted to having my chicken very dry but seasoned. The portions are small for it being pricey. Then again, I was there pretty late. So I'm hoping this isn't the normal. read more

Very flavourful hot and delicious shawarma wrap. I had the lunch special which was a chicken wrap with fries and a drink. The best shawarma restaurant in this area in my opinion and the price is decent. The service is great, the restaurant itself is very nice creating a nice ambiance. I highly recommend anyone in this area to eat here. read more

Just visited the location on Morningside near No Frills. Ordered one veel and lamb and one with chicken shawarma. The guy was friendly and polite. He cooked the meat perfectly! Thank you so much for your nice service and delicious food! Definitely recommend this place. We were there around 11PM July 5th. PS. The design was impressive too! read more
