I'm selling my home and a home inspector thought my gutter seem a little off level, so, I contacted…read morethis company to inspect the gutter/fix (if necessary) then write a letter I could give to the new owners, that it's been inspected. First, these people told me they looked at the gutter and he had no issues, so they'd charge $35 to write the letter. Then, after multiple attempts to contact them/get them to call me back, some guy randomly shows up at my door, unannounced and says he's here to look at the gutter. I show him the two little sections of gutter that needed inspected and he said they were fine. Then he said "just to make the inspector happy, I'll try and adjust the angle a bit. He removed 4 screws, pounded a little with his hand, and 5 mins later said "so, I assume you agreed to the quote". I ask what quote? He then told me I was being charged $139. I was dumbfounded, but I held my tongue. I was never told he was coming over. I was never told I'd be charged $139 for literally doing nothing. I was told they'd write me a letter for $35. Oh and I had to keep harassing them just to get the letter, even after paying that absurd amount, which they send me a BS email with two lines saying they looked at it. This company is owned by a retired CSM. I hope he's proud to be ripping off other veterans. If he doesn't know, then I hope he reads this and fires the crooks that work for him. I'll take this review down, if they refund me and only charge the $35 they initially promised or at least return a far portion back, since they know they took advantage of someone needing a letter of inspection, in order to close on their house.

I called handyman to fix a leak. Water was getting into my microwave through the vent. They were…read moreunable to fix it but charged me around $200 anyway for the attempt. Before the work was started, they said if it wasn't fixed they'd come back out. After getting paid, they said their work was not guaranteed. They compared themselves to doctors who get paid regardless of wether or not they solve the issue. They said they would come back and look but never showed. Later, I diagnosed the problem myself and had a contractor come out and repair the issue. While it is true they charge similar to doctor's rates, the similarities end there. Understand that if you hire Mr Handyman, you are hiring unskilled labor to work by the hour. If you know exactly what needs to be done and you need someone to shovel a ditch for me instance, they would probably do ok but expect to pay a lot for a ditch digger. #mrhandyman is not so handy.

Which was NOT an issue. What IS an issue to me was I was then met with the comment we don't wear ponytails or have chains on our pockets so we stay pretty busy they are clean shaven. I was confused with the comment so I asked him if my request give him the impression that was what I was looking for, but also why would a ponytail and a pocket chain make a person less professional? Call another company. This one couldn't have been less professional if he tried.
