While this park is very nice, it is ruined by the people that own it. They are disrespectful, rude…read moreliars that only cater to their friends in the park. This is not a public camp area. You must reserve a spot for a year and, apparently, be 55 or older. Even though it is not posted on any signs that it is a retirement community, they informed me of this. Now, on to why this negative review exists. Over a weekend, I stayed at my parents camper for a short vacation. After a great day on Truman lake, a visit to the shower house was needed. After returning from there, the owner pulls up on her golf cart and tells me with a very rude attitude "there was water left on the floor and that I am not welcomed back and if my mom wanted to pull their camper from the lot, they were more than obliged to do so". I apologized and even offered to go back to clean up. She continued with her rude attitude, claiming I didn't follow the rules and that I was trespassing. I guess since my name wasn't on the lease, my parents permission to use the camper didn't suffice. She threatened to call the sheriff and have me evicted. I then called my mom to have her speak with the owner. The owners names are Dan and Tanya, BTW. My father first spoke with Tanya and she hung up on him. My mother called back and then spoke to Dan where she was then treated very disrespectfully. All of this over some water in the floor of a shower house. It's a shower house. Floors will get wet. My bathroom floor gets wet and I don't throw a temper tantrum like Tanya did. Had she kindly said that there was some water on the floor and asked if I'd go back to clean it up, there wouldn't be this review waiting for them. So if you're looking to camp near Truman lake, avoid this area. The Osage Bluff lodge down the street is much more accommodating. Unless you like being treated like garbage.

Took my boat in early in January during cold snap to get live well fixed and a tune up. We eek…read morelater got boat back but weather to cold to take out. When I did get it out the live well not fixed anb motor idled so rough I could barely get it off the trailer. Took it back in early February told Barry I had to have the boat back by February 13 because February 14 I had an appointment to get my FFS installed. Told no problem. 13 the I came by boat still not done. Picked it up for other appointment back on Friday. Tuesday get a call telling me they finally figured out they needed to order parts. Friday finally done. Asked Barry why it wasn't fixed right the first time and he asked me if I never made a mistake. I seen on the wall a sign saying shop rare $135 per hour. Asked him if that's the best help he can get for $135 Clueless

One battery was dead but they were all 5 years old so I had them replace all three batteries. Tom and his other mechanic had em installed in my boat in about a half hour while I waited and for a very fair price I might add. I would recommend them for your boat needs.
