My husband is pretty handy around the house, and I love decorating, so we knew we wanted to DIY. But we didn't know where to start, what kind of concrete we had, what finish we needed, and I promise we knew nothing about sealer, coats, or coverage. Lucky for us, Direct Colors did. And I'll be honest -- I was fully expecting this to turn into one of those projects where you spend more time confused than actually doing anything. I figured I'd end up digging through forums, watching ten different videos, and getting annoyed at customer service when I inevitably had questions...or my project flopped. What Direct Colors did...was help me get the products I actually needed (and wanted)...without making me feel stupid or annoying. Their customer service answered everything without sounding smug or making me feel ridiculous for not knowing the difference between a solvent sealer and a water‑based one. Dont waste your money or time. Bought 5 gallons at over $300 for charcoal easy tint. Which they…read moresaid 4.8 would be enough for 3 coats of porous concrete. Didn't even have enough to do one full coat. Now told because I didnt use a swirling motion and thats why.... but they are having a sale and I could buy more. It would literally cost me almost 1500 do finish and have it look like actual charcoal. So now ive wasted 300 dollars and hours of my time, now I have to strip all of this crap off and resurface the concrete. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
