There is plenty of seating in the 3 main rooms for guests and the decor is absolutely adorable. Lauri has everything so well organized and meets her guest at the venue before "checking in". The space can be rented either the entire day or for 1 of the 2 shifts (we rented 3pm-8pm). I would highly recommend this space for small parties in the Overland Park area!

The Hall will hold about 200-250. Tables/ chairs are included in the rental. What I like about the Hall rental is I could bring in my own liquor. Saves a lot from having to rent a hall then having to buy your refreshments from the Landlord! If you do bring your own liquor you will also have to have on the premises during the party a "rent a cop" for security. I think most places have this requirement if you have alcohol. They also have a kitchen and include ice for the party. I thought the price was reasonable compared to other venues in Shawnee. They have a website (kofc2332.org) with a calendar for rental availability. Not an "upscale" pricey place but just your basic hall place to have your party with plenty of room for dancing.

I was excited to go with my wife and parents to see The Truetones as my mom is a huge Beatles fan. I underestimated how much it would fill up so we stood up near the stage. Though we would not have expected this, Aztec's staff was very kind to offer us any available seats. I do wish there was more standing room available and I wish there was a larger variety of music that played here. However, the classic rock cover bands I've seen here put on a GREAT show. These people put on a front that they are going to help you through everything and be so helpful and they are just there to make sure that everything goes smooth for us. Which felt like a lie to us after everything was over. There were so many red flags that we had and if we hadn't paid so much money for them, we would have walked away. They never tried to set up any of the meetings for the food tasting or decorations, I had to reach out to them. They were very pushy about their DJ and were rude to ours when we didn't choose theirs. There were probably ten of our guests that have told me stories about how they were rude to them! They told us that we would do the final billing the night of and if we had more people we would pay and if we had less they would refund us. But then Cindy was extremely rude to my mother who paid for the whole thing. and told her she doesn't know who told her that but she's not getting any of her money back. for one reason or another. But they went too far by calling me (the bride) the night before my wedding while I am sitting at dinner with my family, asking for more money. I could go on and on about things that bothered me but it doesn't change anything. I don't normally put reviews about things up. But these people were so extremely unprofessional with our reception. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I expected to load up on those for the evening, but I decided to try the famous Kansas City rubs I had heard so much about. BAM! I get it now! These ribs put every BBQ rib I have had before now to shame. My tastebuds now understand what ribs should taste like. It was a magical cross between perfection and awesome. I ate until I was ready to split a seam. Absolutely incredible. If you can get yourself here, do it... the food is amazing!
