There is plenty of seating in the 3 main rooms for guests and the decor is absolutely adorable. Lauri has everything so well organized and meets her guest at the venue before "checking in". The space can be rented either the entire day or for 1 of the 2 shifts (we rented 3pm-8pm). I would highly recommend this space for small parties in the Overland Park area!

I expected to load up on those for the evening, but I decided to try the famous Kansas City rubs I had heard so much about. BAM! I get it now! These ribs put every BBQ rib I have had before now to shame. My tastebuds now understand what ribs should taste like. It was a magical cross between perfection and awesome. I was painting ceramics but it's different when it's a piece that I have made with my own hands. Pottery has become my hobby and I'm inspired by the pieces I see from advanced potters. I took a 2 hour class and built my own mug. They have a lot of cookie cutter's to cut or clay and decorate your project. There are always people there to help and answer questions. It's so much fun! They have classes where you can enjoy Pinot as you create something you'll have for a lifetime. They offer lessons for those brand new to pottery and for very experienced potters so there's something for everyone. This was exactly what I was looking for and it's become my passion. I'm not very artistic but I'm learning. There are men and women ranging from beginners like me to those with years of experience. Come and check it out. Take a class. And by open... yes it used to be a theater that they have reset into a venue! They have remodeled the projection booth to be the mens and brides rooms... yes I said mens and brides... you are only a groom while you are standing up front... the rest of the time you are one of the guys. The wedding hasn't taken place yet (i'll update after that) but I did meet the owner. She was extremely helpful and willing to make small alterations to the existing packages to ensure that all needs are met. If you are having an event with less than 200 people go check this place out! It is new and has great access. There is no smoking deck/lounge so I would say that is the only draw back however peeps should be able to go a few hours without.

We went with friends to the Round Hill pool for the 4th of July and it was LIT! I have never seen…read moresuch a spectacle in my life. I felt like I was watching the pool scene from the movie "Caddyshack" but in real life. It was nuts!! The pool is great and I assume normally less busy than the madness that ensued on July 4th. All the neighborhood kids assembled before the pool opened and paraded around the block, finishing at the club. Everyone was decked out in red, white, and blue, and a great time was had by all. This is a swim and tennis club primarily aimed at folks in the neighborhood, but from the website it sounds like anyone can join, though there is currently a waitlist. I can see why!

As my 2 toddlers and baby are walking into to our car, a driver comes flying in off Metcalf and stops right before he's about to potentially hit us. This is one of many, many super unsafe moments from this one week alone trying to get acres to and away for the establishment. It's so incredibly dangerous. My toddlers cried and panicked bc they and myself thought we were just about to get mowed down. It would have been less scary for them if at least this weirdo didn't roll down his window and yell at us pedestrians which consisted of a mother, a baby on a baby stroller and two tiny toddlers. They cried and were once an again scared bc this deranged individual took time to act a fool after the fact. Real shame. Parking is unsafe this is just one of many instances so I'm sharing this since, bc it will mark our last time going here. Too dangerous. Almost needed up as splatter.

All good things…read more.. We were invited to an impromptu event to taste the new additions to for the Menu when they reopen. They also were 'blowing the taps' which meant we get to try many of the beers that they were saying good-bye to. So, a little story. I was one of the first to wander into a place called Brew Lab years ago. I actually found the place because of looking for brewing supplies. There were a good amount of tools here but also these folks were serving their beer! So, what a great idea. I bought some grain... and had a few beers! I visited this place a few more times on the regular. Suddenly one day there was appetizers. And had the most divine pretzel bites that have ever existed. Next time was an amazing club sandwiches. And some pulled pork. All of the food has always been great bar food. And then there was the beer. So many delicious beers each time. Too many to try at once. But, that is all memory lane... Now... here is the news! Brew Lab is changing. The ownership remains the same however they have given up the brewing. They will have a few of their specialty beers that they keep on tap but they will have a lot more taps of beer from other breweries. On this visit they brought out a large amount of samples of the food that they will be adding/altering in the menu going forward. There were a lot of really delicious items and I am excited for when they have the full menu and I can order some of them. Most notably I am excited for the Catfish Po'boy sandwich. We will be back soon to try the all new... Tall Boys. Look for that review coming soonish!
