The venue is the most reasonably-priced space in Kansas City (barring you don't use someone's backyard...). It's in a fantastic location just down the street from Martini Corner (easy for everyone to go there for the after-party!). There is an enormous kitchen at your disposal; chairs and tables are provided; the hall has many windows that filter in gorgeous light; there are hanging lanterns; and the hall is also decorated with twinkle lights. The high ceilings make the space seem grand and impressive, while maintaining a sense of intimacy. The owner, Lord, is VERY easy to deal with. He had impeccable communication and was willing to meet with us several times to figure out the layout of the space, the sound set up, anything! He allowed us to use whatever caterer we wanted at no additional cost, provide our own alcohol and bartender, use our own security, etc. Our wedding was very DIY and Lord allowed us to really save on our budget by using our own resources. I would HIGHLY recommend this space as a wonderful venue in Kansas City. There are only two reasons why I'm not giving it 5-stars, and that is because I believe the sound system could use a minor upgrade; and because the bridal suite is a little lackluster (although there are plans to build a new suite, I'm told!). All in all, a wonderful venue that I believe I am beyond fortunate to have discovered!!

Very nice bathroom, good amount of chairs, couches, and tables for guests who needed to sit down- most of us were standing and mingling the whole night. There were 2 large folding tables available that we ended up using. The TVs and strobe lights were perfect additions to our event, we did bring our own speaker. There were several fridges and a nice rolling cooler for us to keep our beverages cold, and also an ice maker that we didn't end up using, but was nice to know it was there for backup. The views from the balconies were fabulous. Michelle was quick to answer questions and made the process super easy for us. We hope to book again in the future!

The facility gives off a great first impression, so we rented for bridal shower. After arriving to set up on the day of our event, we found a very filthy facility. There was an event the night prior, and cleaning had not been done between events as we were led to believe. The manager was actually mopping the floors as we arrived, and the whole building had a damp musty odor that lingered all day. The carpet was covered in stains. There was dried food on the walls, the chairs were covered in stains and soil and were obviously not wiped down from event to event. One chair looked like soda had been spilled and left on it to dry. The handicapped bathroom door would not close and shut, and had to be slammed or kept close with your foot. There were no signs to direct or make awareness of another public restroom around the corner, hidden from view, and was overlooked by some of our attendees. The kitchen appliances had not been cleaned in months, if ever. The refrigerator was covered in dried crusty food stains, beverage stains and human hair. It took 8 people 2 hours to clean and stage the facility for our event, seriously no elaboration here. We started at 9 am for an 11:00 bridal shower. Upon complaining to the venue people after the event, we were accused of stealing entranceway door mat, which was found later by staff, who apparently had misplaced it when mopping the floor. The venue has potential to be a very awesome rental space, but is currently under poor management who think sweeping and mopping floors between events is sufficient. This place needs a routinely scheduled hard deep cleaning. There are nicer, cleaner event spaces out there, so my opinion is to take a pass on this one.

We arrived a little before start time. A bar open shortly after 6:30 and the program began closer to 7 o'clock. The chef demonstrated what we were to do and then we were sent to our cooking stations to replicate the dinner was cooked in segments where we would cook , then eat a course then instruction, then back to cook. Chef Sergio was laid back and funny. He told stories and explained the reason behind processes. I noticed there were typographical errors in the recipe sheets handed out. Chef was aware of them but didn't seem to care. Sometimes he did not follow the recipe exactly, using an order different from the recipe which made it confusing when we were released to our stations to prepare. The class ran from 6:30-10:30. The staff was helpful and kind. We enjoyed the small breaks in the cooking segments. Two of the recipes were precooked. (Appetizer & dessert). You were allowed to take home all the leftovers. I can't wait to try these recipes out at home.
