Watching them was neat, but a little disappointing. Most of them just picked up some glass, heated it, placed it in mold, then maybe fiddled with it by hand for another minute or two, and it was done. I guess I was expecting more artistry. And then to walk back into the store and see those same pieces that they made in 5 minutes selling for $85-$250! Wow. I would have loved to have bought a souvenir or gift for a friend, but apparently I'm not their target demographic. LOL

They had a fun collection of home decor, gifts, soaps/lotions/etc, and a freezer with homemade ice cream from the shop next door. The handmade pottery is beautiful and priced very reasonable - there are small certified cards inside that tell you when/where/who made your art- a very nice touch. They also have a nice selection of geodes, agates, healing stones, and other decorative stones which are very trendy right now. Their clothing selection features mostly T-shirts and similar garments screen-printed with Native-inspired images. They also have jewelry cases along the wall that extend 2 complete walls of the shop; complete with lots of silver and beaded items that are just beautiful. This is a really cool shop loaded with neat goodies, and it's unlike any shop I've ever seen as it focuses on Native offerings which are beautiful and well-made. It is no one else's fault but the invisible managers here who should be disgusted with themselves for setting the associates up for failure and placing them in hazardous situations that can kill these young kids trying to be responsible and actually maintain a job in today's fallen world. No one picks up the phone. Associates do not help you on the floor. Employees are not knowledgeable of any merchandise of all categories. When we thought Lowe's in the bad parts of the state was the worst. Terrible that Rural King in the Front Royal area is beyond a disappointment.

Then, I got the wild idea to make some pickles because I saw the huge display of canning supplies and we have cucumbers in the garden. I picked up the canning supplies I needed for the pickles. Check out is quick, easy and friendly. Prices are reasonable. My brother had to return a fitting that was the wrong size and they cheerfully refunded his money. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall lot. I'm sure we'll be back when the chickens need more food.
