I don't appreciate it and especially in front of my daughter who is Autistic and nonverbal. Get used to a highly repetitive diet. Bakery is overly sweet. Food overall is a little pricier. No real sales as with the high-low supermarkets. Most of the fresh fruit is inedible. Just try ripening a peach and compare it to the succulent beauties at Shaw's! Despite my highly repetitive diet, they are chronically out of stock on one thing or another. They use an unnamed 3rd party delivery service, and they are literally (nickel and) diming me to death with all the single foods getting its own bag! This added 10 cents each to my cereal and to my frozen pops for getting their own bags. The Vermont bag fee is about reducing bags by charging 10 cents to DISCOURAGE USE OF BAGS ON SINGLE ITEMS. The delivery service either does not know this or does not care.

The prices on some of the taxable items are a little high, but saves you the trip to either Berlin or South Barre grocery stores. I also appreciate that they have smaller portions of fresh chicken (as opposed to having to buy mass quantities), you can grab 2 chicken leg quarters for grilling for $1.75. It's a great, convenient all around independent grocer (mom and pop). They can also order in custom meats and fancy stuff like duck fat.
