I sent leads and asked for her professional opinion because I needed guidance, but frequently received little response. I often felt left high and dry. Even getting the report required repeated requests. She promised it by the end of the day on June 5. After I followed up again, she sent a draft on June 8 and said her investigators had not yet reviewed it for accuracy. She did provide some updates and report investigative work. I understand that finding someone isn't guaranteed. But returning promised calls, keeping me informed, and explaining where my case stood were reasonable expectations. Eventually, communication stopped altogether. To this day, I have received no further response or explanation that she was closing my case or could no longer help. I was simply left wondering what was happening. This involved my son, and we were already dealing with a painful, complicated situation. Having to repeatedly chase someone we had paid and trusted to help added to that stress. I will be submitting my concerns and supporting documentation to the Texas Department of Public Safety's Private Security program, TALI's Ethics Committee and executive office, the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division, and the Better Business Bureau.
