We moved to the Las Vegas area right before the holidays and I knew that I wanted a picture for our Christmas card that featured us in our new desert digs. I had a friend refer me to Sheenagal Photography and after doing research on so many photographers I am so grateful to have found her. She was worth the wait. She has an amazing portfolio full of all types of photo shoots. I really wanted to get a maternity shoot but due to being put on bedrest I was unable to. I ended up having my baby early and had a short stay in the NICU. So I was somewhat panicked when I contacted her, I thought there would be no way she would be able to squeeze me in before my baby was 2 weeks old. I contacted her first on Facebook and within an half hour she responded and we were trying to figure out a time. She ended up squeezing me in when she was 1 and 1/2 weeks old, well within the 2 week window for the best newborn shots. We came in and were greeted so warmly offered chairs and she even told my husband to go sit out on the couch and watch the game if he wanted! I was so occupied by looking at all of her props, headbands, fabrics, hats and oh so many cute things in all colors of the rainbow. I decided to let the artist do her art and choose for me. I of course was enthralled with watching the whole process. She is so gentle and knows exactly how to hold and position a baby in just the right positions to get the cutest poses. She keeps the room toasty warm with the sound of a heartbeat to keep the babies calm and sleeping. She even wears knee pads so she can capture just the right painstaking angle. I did extensive research prior to selecting Sheenagal Photography as my maternity and newborn photographer. At the time, Sheena was offering a promotion if you booked her for both maternity and newborn photography sessions simultaneously. I felt VERY skeptical about booking her for both shoots, as both of these fields of photography are highly specialized, and it is incredibly rare to find a photographer who is proficient at both. FORGET PROFICIENCY... Sheena is A MASTER. Let me tell you, it is no easy task to make a gigantic pregnant woman look and feel beautiful, so when you see a photographer advertising that they will "shoot anything..." run for your life! Sheena gave my husband and me the direction we needed to make our maternity shoot feel very comfortable. She supplied me with my wardrobe, so all I had to worry about was my hair and makeup, keeping the planning completely stress free for me in my uncomfortable state! Most importantly... my maternity pictures came out... BEYOND any greatness I EVER COULD HAVE IMAGINED!!! I can't even believe I ever doubted my decision! I don't even want to think about what I would have missed out on had I chosen a different photographer. Of course... the next test was yet to come. OMG OMG OMG... just got the gallery of my baby girl's cake smash pics and first birthday pics and I am amazed, I love them all!!! Sheena included the cake with the cake smash, it was a big awesome cupcake in the perfect colors and it was absolutely adorable! (and delicious too, I might add - baby girl didn't really smash it so we got to take it home and satisfy Mommy's sweet tooth!!) Sheena worked with me on the theme for the cake smash pics, so her props totally matched baby girl's outfit. Then Sheena put baby girl in the cutest outfit from her stash for baby girl's one year pictures, the pictures just turned out beautiful. I initially used another photographer and had to switch, because quite frankly baby girl just didn't click with her. Baby girl initially cried when I set her down by the cake, but I picked her back up and Sheena spent a few minutes getting to know her.
