We just knew we would be have towed, have to get a hotel and wait until Monday to even get it looked at. I found Southwest Automotive on Google & it said open daily 8am-6pm so we called Troy and told him our dilemma, unfortunately he said he could not look at it until Tuesday, but then he was nice enough to send us information about a local towing service. We had let the engine cool down so we chanced getting off highway to an exit. That went ok & we were trying to come up with a game plan when Troy called us back & said a car he was working on needed a part so if we could get to him he would look at it. My husband had told him he thought it was just the thermostat. Troy went and got that part while we slowly made our way to him with our heat on full blast, keeping the engine heat low. Less than 2 hours later, Troy had replaced the part & tested our hoses, replaced our antifreeze & made sure the car did not overheat while revving the engine and A/C at full blast. We are back on the road with no issues. And, it did not cost us a fortune-very reasonable. Words cannot describe how thankful we are to Troy. We feel so very lucky to have found him. He is very hardworking & is starting up a lock smith service too! So, if you need car service repair or a lock smith-do not hesitate to call him!!

They installed a dash cam for me for cameras and told me what my options were to add other cameras because the car does need some some extra help being able to see out of its little difficult to see out of this kind of car. DO NOT TRUST SHAWN WITH YOUR VEHICLE…read more I've dealt with bad mechanics before, but this guy took it to a whole new level of unprofessionalism and manipulation. He had my truck for a month with minimal communication, and during the last 11 days of working on it, he provided no updates at all. When he finally did call, he told me the fuel lines were "fixed" and that I should be able to pick it up that day, but he hadn't even test driven it, and had no intention of doing so. He told me he had easier jobs lined up and commented on how I "didn't even have the money yet" (I had told him I would be taking out a personal loan once I had the truck fixed and knew the exact amount). I said, "What is more waiting at this point?" and he responded by saying he would not be touching my truck further, not even to test drive it, and that I couldn't have it until I paid him $799.98 in full, up front. After all that time, and all the false promises, he flat out refused to make sure the truck was even drivable before handing it back. Which he had known from well before the truck was even on his premises that it was crucial to my survival for my truck to not just be running but also safely drivable. He lied about the timeline (claimed he talked to me four days prior but it had been eleven - May 23rd was last contact until June 3rd), tried to gaslight me with "you better watch your tone" when I called him out on how unprofessional that was, and openly said he didn't want to finish the job because I didn't have the money yet. He literally told me, "I'm done with your truck. Come get it," like he was doing me a favor. He said he had other cars lined up and that mine wasn't worth the time anymore. Every bit of this was either completely unprofessional or a flat out lie. Every piece of it was disrespectful. This wasn't just careless. It was calculated. He let me believe he was working on it, then vanished, then rewrote the timeline when I called him out. If you're in a vulnerable spot or need someone reliable, this is not the guy to trust. He wasted my time, disrespected my boundaries, and left me worse off than when I started. Save yourself the grief. Go anywhere else.
