Got one of the big cups, fully expecting to pay the standard fountain price even though it was just water. The cashier waved me off saying water was free. These guys are A-OK, but there are a few things worth mentioning that hopefully will be constructive feedback. Being just as you go into a corporate office park, they are very convenient for those going/coming from work. Great location. However once inside, there are a few things you run into. Literally. This station is very small. Compounded with a very crowded overpacked layout, it's difficult to navigate. There is actually an overabundance of unshelved stock stored in the very limited open space of the store, making it more crowded and hard to maneuver in. In fact today, there was so many plastic storage bins and stock packed in front of shelves I could not get into the products I wanted to pick up. Hopefully there will be a solution soon that can take that unstocked merchandise in an alternate area (?build an outside storage building?) that can clean up and give back the limited space they have available. However it's even so crowded at the register counter area with products and items to try to sell that there is hardly any room to place the items you want to purchase down...definitely overcrowded even at the register space and it is frustrating. You can get prescriptions delivered via Instacart even if you don't have an Instacart subscription. Pharmacy Staff I can't say enough good things about the pharmacy staff at this location. I changed from private insurance to Medicare this year and they've gone out of their way many times to help me. Whether it's trying to get me a discount on a prescription that's not covered or helping me navigate the same day delivery function...they've been exceptionally helpful. I wish I could remember all the names of people that have helped me but some are Amy, Angie, Maliha and Sarah. Hospice Care My Mom, who's 95, went into hospice care this year which is incredibly stressful. It's one thing to be getting prescriptions to keep yourself well, it's another to be getting medications for someone at the end of their life. My Mom had a prescription we were getting filled at CVS. The bottle said "take two a day." So she was taking two at the same time. When we got the prescription from Costco it said "take two times a day." That might not seem like a big deal but the nuance of taking the medication at two different times has helped relieve a very annoying side effect she had. Personalized Service I've used many different local pharmacies and what they all have in common (sadly) is that it's an anonymous experience. It doesn't matter if you've been to the counter two or three times in the same day, you're essentially like a stranger they're seeing for the first time every time you visit. I'd like to give a shout out to Maliha because I had spoken to her on the phone one day trying to resolve a technical/delivery problem and the next day, she saw my name, remembered me and asked me if I was able to solve the problem after we spoke. I was completely floored to get that level of customer service which has almost disappeared in our society. Likewise, I want to acknowledge Amy for being kind and attentive when I was picking up a prescription for my Mom that wasn't quite ready. She came over to me a couple of times to assure me it was almost ready. When you use the word "hospice" in a conversation, you're saying that someone's life is close to the end. It's sad how so many people don't understand that. Amy obviously understood the stress of waiting for a medication for someone in hospice care and I genuinely appreciate her care and consideration. Highly recommend...it's really worth the effort to use Costco pharmacy. Park on the edge of the parking lot near the gas station for a more hassle free experience.
