We've been a member for a few months now, and although I'm glad that we canceled our Sam's Club membership to sign up for a Costco membership here, our experiences in this Costco have caused us many headaches. It can get super crowded here, especially on weekends. From my understanding, it's the busiest Costco in the Triangle NC. The only other Costco in NC we've been to is the one at North Durham, and from what I could remember, it can also get crowded there but it's not as bad as this Apex location. One time, it took us about 20 min. just to find parking on a Sunday afternoon. Costco is a huge company with great reputation, so the constant stream of customers coming was expected. What I didn't expect was how the management here didn't seem to be prepared to handle the overwhelming crowd. In our latest visit, for example, I tried to order a couple of chicken bakes & cookies from the concession, but it took about 25 min. for them to get those ready. Then after that, after my girl finished shopping, we tried to take a quick snack, so I ordered just a slice of pepperoni pizza, and it took just as long just to get 1 slice! And when it was time for us to share that 1 slice, a manager told us to leave because it's already closing. In my mind, I wanted to tell him, "Well, we would have finished eating earlier if you had enough people in your concession area handling many orders efficiently!" There are multiple kiosks for easy ordering, but it just seemed that they lack the manpower to handle this constant flow of orders fast enough. But it's not just in the concession area. Costco's dairy section seemed to run out of organic milk and eggs fast. And at the cashier, because customers are not able to use the hand scanners, there were times when we had to wait for the employee holding the scanner to notice us, so she could scan the bigger items. We never had issue at Sam's Club. I'm not sure if it's a management issue or an understaffing issue. Maybe both, but we were really disappointed to see this kind of customer service from a company who's built its reputation with its excellent customer service. So much time has been wasted here because of this Costco's shortcomings.

You can't beat Costco. It's also an extremely difficult task to leave with spending less than $100. There are many unbelievable buys like Vanilla Extract, organic brown rice, and fresh produce. I buy frozen veggies made great there that are more than half price less than the supermarket. These are gf along with frozen Four Cheese Sabatassos pizza. You get 3 in a box. It is better than some gf crust pizzas you can get from some pizzerias. Yesterday I picked up a box of 200 13 gallon flex tech bags for $16.99. I love Costco.

Large and delicious vanilla birthday cake ordered through the bakery at Costco

I recently ordered a cake for the first time through the bakery at Costco. It's strange to me that there isn't a digital online process for this. To order your cake, fill out a paper form in front of the bakery, by the case of pre-made cakes. Customization options are limited. A half sheet cake was more than enough to feed guests at a birthday party that had 50 people in attendance. Everyone thought the cake was delicious and it got a lot of compliments. The children loved the rainbow and all wanted a piece that had part of the rainbow on it! There was plenty to go around, and for a good price. This Costco cake was a good value and a big hit for my daughter's sixth birthday party.

I love that I can always find what I need at Costco. The only downside is, so can everyone else lol. The place is always crowded.

Haven't been to Apex in several months but I go for the quality, prices, etc. Also, I stand behind Costco and their stand against DEI.

So when we pulled up directions, and saw this location was also on the way home, we decided to do our shopping here. Easy to get in and out of, close access to the highway, they have all the amenities, including a gas station. The store was well stocked, and our limited interaction with staff (we did self check out) was pleasant. The carried everything we were looking for, only issue we had was finding things, as it was layer out as a mirror image to our usual location. No complaints, would shop here again, and would recommend, no crazy over crowding like Costco, good pricing/bargains on bulk items.

Super organized and clean, and we had no issue finding our ways around here to get our shopping done. Parking lot is HUGE, and there are special parking spots for customers with children. I will be back again for my next pit stop to buy something on the go if I'm in the area.

First pass through produce and I'm already mentally planning three meals. Chinese broccoli (gai lan), Green papayas, Green mangoes, Garlic chives, Thai eggplants, culantro--stacked like they knew I was coming. And then the unexpected jackpot: baby mangoes. Not something you casually stumble upon, and definitely the kind of find. The store itself is clean, well-organized, and surprisingly easy to navigate given how deep the inventory goes. Only tiny hiccup: no Thai basil on this visit. Not a dealbreaker, but the one missing piece in an otherwise near-perfect haul. (I'll forgive it this time because... baby mangoes.)

Review for H Mart H…read moreMart is one of my favorite Korean grocery stores--ever. I remember when they first opened locations in the Bay Area in places like San Francisco and San Jose, and I would gladly make the trek just to shop there. I've never been disappointed. The stores are always clean, organized, and full of incredible food options. What really makes H Mart special, though, is that it's more than just a grocery store--it's an experience. Inside this massive market, you'll find a bakery, authentic Korean food stalls, and restaurant-quality meals being made fresh. It's honestly amazing to walk into a grocery store and have access to food that tastes like it came straight from a restaurant kitchen. Because I travel frequently for work across the Southeast--covering a pretty large region--I'm always on the lookout for an H Mart whenever I'm near one. I've been lucky to have access to locations like Cary, North Carolina, and the one in Buford outside Atlanta, which serves a large and vibrant Asian community. Whenever I'm within a reasonable driving distance--usually within about 10 miles--I make a point to stop in and enjoy a delicious, authentic Korean meal that's made to order and very reasonably priced. I've brought friends and colleagues with me, and they've all been blown away by the food stalls. My personal go-to: * LA galbi (Korean short ribs)--if it's on the menu, I'm ordering it * All the little banchan side dishes--I absolutely love them * Fresh seafood options, including live crab and fish that can be cleaned and prepared for you * A stop at the bakery for dessert--think croissant donuts, almond pastries, or a beautiful layered crepe cake Some locations--even the ones I visited years ago on the West Coast--would steam or fry seafood for you right there, which makes dinner incredibly convenient. Another thing I appreciate is the cleanliness. This store truly rivals places like Whole Foods in terms of organization and quality, even while handling live seafood. The parking lots are typically spacious, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. I also love browsing the aisles for specialty ingredients you can't find everywhere. For example, they carry my favorite laksa noodles, which remind me of a Malaysian dish I fell in love with while visiting a friend in Mauritius. It's always fun to discover unique items like that. The staff--both in the grocery store and at the food stalls--are friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. Bottom line: If you're anywhere near Cary, North Carolina--or even the Buford, Georgia area--do yourself a favor and make a beeline to H Mart. As a lifelong foodie, I truly believe: Life is too short not to eat well.

Most things seem too nice for outdoors, so perhaps they're more for an indoor garden room. Either that or I totally misunderstand the garden part of home and garden. In the back room is the most beautiful log cabin dollhouse that I've seen in some time. Elizabeth's is a relaxed store, where they've kept the feel of the house. There are two small rooms on the first floor and a larger room with the larger items, upstairs. Despite the limited space, there's still a light feel. In my visits to Elizabeth's there's been something new to see. Certain things are moved to another area, displayed in a different way, giving it a fresh look. The owners seem to have a great deal of retail experience that shows in how they treat their customers and in their down-to-earth attitude -- especially noticeable during the holiday rush shortly after they opened.
