The store looked to be newish, fully stocked, and clean. An employee greeted us, rang up our purchase, processed our payment, and thanked us. The prices were fine. My husband and I did not look around the entire store, but we did not notice any alcohol. Reviews on another website said that this store does NOT actually sell beer and wine.

There are also two little restaurants inside -- Little Caesars and Subway. Which is convenient for people who enjoy those restaurants. BFS is a local gas station slash convenience store, with locations all around West Virginia. I had to look up what BFS stands for, because I kept hoping it would be an initialism for Best Friend Store, because that would be cute. It's just Bruceton Farm Service. I did not check out the bathrooms so perhaps did not get the full experience - the rest of the place inside was clean, and the staff was friendly. Prices were OK. My husband and I shopped for beverages and snacks. I would prefer different types of foods such as healthier ones, but we still bought a few beverages and a few snacks. The cashier promptly and accurately rang up our purchases, and he spoke nicely with us. By the way, their Dubai chocolate does NOT taste like authentic Dubai chocolate.

Lots has changed, but not this place. When I was in college Kwik Fill had did a complete rebuild to make it look like it does today. Since the rebuild, does not look like much has changed. Maybe the building aged a bit, but that's about all. It is the only gas station in town. Also one of the few places to get items that are convenient. Hot food is also available if you are up for some gas station fare. Back in the day I remember coming here for some chicken strips and fries. Typical items you would find in a gas station convenience store. Typical service as well. Attentive as expected, but it seems like a bit of a joking atmosphere. Lots of joking between employees, and some of the regulars that stop in here. It appears to be a frequent spot for local authorities. You have to give it to them. It is a needed place in town and it has served its purpose all those years.

There were railroad tracks and several types of railroad equipment, including a couple engines and even some cabooses. Unfortunately, the tracks are a long buried and even washed away where they crossed the creek. I don't think anything has run here in many many years, but it was still incredible to see they had their own man-made creek that originally had a concrete bottom and stonewall sides with a very neat covered bridge. I guess they had live animals at one time, but all I saw were some geese. I didn't get a chance to venture too far because the grass was very high and I didn't want to take a chance of getting ticks. There is a nearby store which serves lunch counter food, I had a foot-long hotdog and fries, which was quite good and reasonably priced they also have soft serve ice cream. I found the place by accident by taking the back roads on my way across West Virginia. I'm really glad I found it. It's just a place I enjoy.
