For as long as I can remember this Sunoco has been here. Just because it has been there that long…read moredoes not mean I have ever stopped there until now. I was in need of a few quick items when I pulled up here. For gas, it's not bad, but it's also not great. There are only four pumps and for this section of the city, that is not big enough. It sits on a very busy corner in the Lawrenceville section of the city which has probably deterred me from stopping prior. Inside it is setup a little awkwardly. The registers are set up in the middle of the store, completely encased in plastic. On the one side you have your normal items you would find in a convenience store. Behind the register/plastic wall you have you other items, i.e. cigarettes and the such. Lines can move a little slowly, but that is not the employees' fault. It's mostly the customers, it seems to be a neighborhood spot to grab some forgotten items. So there is a constant flow of customers in here.

I honestly think the coffee I bought was 12 hrs old, and my milk was 2 days out on the expiration date. The milk is on me for not checking the date till I got home. I get they can't change the coffee every hour. Just beware of those tank style canisters they hold a lot of coffee. So never again will I get my quickies at that location. Employees are great. it's the owner who is ultimately responsible. IMHO. Buyer beware.

It could quite possibly be the busiest gas station in the city. There is a constant flow of people coming and going. At the current time the inside is undergoing a remodel. Changing over to a 7-Eleven convenience store on the inside. Most Sunoco's, if not all of them, are dropping their chain of convenience stores and being replaced with 7-Eleven's. Customer service could use a little fine tuning here. A smile goes a long way.

Well, here I am, writing a review on a gas station. Yep. And this one's just fine, I suppose. It's…read morea little bigger than the ones near my house, which I can NEVER find an empty pump at before sunset, it seems; at least here when there's a line the wait seems shorter. And since this one is right up the street from work, it's a great and often necessary pit stop before I head out for an enjoyable night in the 'Burgh. Have to say, though, I hate the stupid TVs by the gas pumps here. I just find them to be aggravating and an unnecessary noisy addition to the area. I used to pick up a cookie and/or a drink once I'd managed to brave the rush hour crowd and get my tank of gas. The snack and drink selection is pretty reasonable, but hey, it's gas station stuff so it's not going to be extraordinary. I've never eaten their hot dogs or wrapped sandwiches so I can't comment on those. I do kind of wish the lines to the registers weren't so slow here. I said I used to pick things up here because I've started avoiding coming in, just to avoid the slow lines. So hey, not exceptional but there's nothing here that makes me say risk running on fumes until you find another gas station, either. Its location and its proximity to my work office definitely helps me overlook the cons of the place. And hey, at the end of the day a Sunoco is a Sunoco.
