It was going to be a long day of driving and I knew we were not going to be stopping for food until lunch. I hadn't had anything to eat in about half a day. After landing from out of town the day before, getting home late, getting up early, unpacking and packing, I was on the road, with hardly anything in my belly. Following the GPS I saw the familiar red awning ahead. I let my colleague know I was making a stop as I needed a little something to eat. Pulling in, found a spot immediately, and I ran inside. I figured, since we were in for a long haul ride, I would hit up the facilities just to be sure. Clean and in working order. Ran to the cooler and thought what would be quick and ready to eat while driving. I went immediately to their prepared sweets in a cup. I grabbed my items and headed for the self checkouts. A good and convenient place to stop when travelling between Fredericksburg and Charlottesville. . Sheetz was founded in 1952 by G. Robert "Bob" Sheetz. It has grown from that time to operate approximately 680 convenience stores throughout six states: Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina. This is one of the 107 locations in Virginia. It is located on the west corner of the intersection of Germanna and Constitution highways. It is a standalone building with 2 sets of covered gas pumps. There are a few parking spots next to the building and additional parking on the other side of the pumps by the street. The building is located next to a McDonalds. This site caters to the car community. The inside of the store was fairly clean with aisles of products and merchandise, a kitchen, a self-serve drink area, and nice and functional restrooms. The wooden plank floors were clean for the amount of traffic that they received. The shelves seemed well stocked with snacks and items for the traveler. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices on the gas seemed high for the time that I visited and the outside was a little dirty. Even with those last two items, this was a good place to stop that I would recommend to fellow travelers. read more

You ever decide to stop and get gas and decide you wanna be really really fat lol then sheetz is a place for you Anytime I'm on a road trip long or short I love to stop here for a quick fix they are very clean bathrooms a lot of unique drinks including Slushes galore They've even added in dole whip then you get to the kiosk And my goodness the fried beautiful Ness that you will see I definitely got fried Oreos and they were delicious I didn't even have to wait till the carnival came we also tried the pumpkin cookie butter shake and the cow tails caramel apple shake they were so good read more

We visited this gas station in the wee hours of the morning on 11/22/2020. Being from Arkansas, we were unfamiliar with Sheetz but were incredibly impressed with everything inside the store - from the super friendly worker (Marie, I think was her name) to the freaky clean restrooms, and the variety of fresh food - well, all we can say is WOW! What was supposed to be a quick pit stop turned into a full fledged shopping trip as we stocked our cooler with all sorts of healthy treats ( and some not...but still delish) for our long drive home. Such a bright, clean, friendly environment really invites a customer to stay a bit - I sure don't think I've ever spent so much time in a gas station! Heck, we might just visit Virginia again for the sole purpose of visiting a Sheetz! If only it coulda been Sheetz all the way home... read more

Jon and Gage are great never thought I'd write a review about a gas station but their level if customer service is top notch.

This is a typical Sheetz gas station and convenience store of the chain that started in Pennsylvania and is now spreading across the East Coast. This one is located in a busy area just west of Fredericksburg, Virginia. It's on the main route if you are headed to Harrisonburg or the ski areas or any of the hiking areas. Because of that it gets a lot of traffic. if you stop in on a weekend be prepared for some long waits and long lines inside. Even with the volume of business they get they managed to keep it pretty clean inside. Because it's Virginia, gas prices are extremely low. All in all I prefer Wawa because the stores are not as claustrophobic inside but that said, Sheetz is still a great option. read more

I visit this location about once a week. It is very easy to get in and get out. I have never had a problem with their food, service, cleanliness, or employees. Most of the time their gas has been slightly cheaper than the 7-11 across the street. read more

I love love love Sheetz. This is a great location too - super clean and friendly staff. I love how you order on the touch screens. I am also really impressed that they make real espresso drinks on a real, quality espresso machine. This is no gas station coffee my friends. My hubby loves their hot dogs. OK - I went back last weekend and Sheetz either listened or just got lucky and realized they needed to make some changes. Once again, I ordered something from MTO to Go and there was a gal working the food line that was "on the ball" and worked efficiently and even had a chance to say "thank you". Literally a super spreader event this morning, I counted at least 10 people with no mask on, VA has a mandatory mask inside of stores and restaurants mandate and the Sheetz at this location is not enforcing it at all, which is a violation of said law and could cost them their business license. i typically love sheetz... however, after stopping in today to get a strawberry banana smoothie, this is the first time i've been disappointed. my smoothie is super chunky and has large ice chunks, making it unpleasant to drink. this location could use better food/drink quality control. read more

I had never been to Sheetz or even heard of the chain before roadtripping to Charlottesville this past weekend. A friend of mine who was familiar with the chain suggested we stop there because we were starving because there really aren't a lot of food options for the hour plus drive from Charlottesville to the 95N entrance ramp. While I wasn't quite sure what to expect from "gas station" food, I was impressed with Sheetz and how friendly everyone working there was. We ordered via the touch screen system, which was a great way to see the menu and quickly place an order. The only thing that would have made the experience more convenient was if I could have paid at the touch screen kiosk with my credit card, rather than have to wait in line at the cashier and pay there. My hot chocolate was done first and my number was called for that. I got the Ghirardelli hot chocolate and it was so yummy! I liked it even more than Starbuck's hot chocolate. Not long after I started sipping on my hot chocolate, my Maple Hotcake Griddler, which consisted of American cheese, bacon, and scrambled eggs inside two maple flavored biscuits was ready. Overall, a great first visit to Sheetz. I only wish there was one closer to where i live! read more

Worst coffee ever!!! Now, don't get me a wrong. I'm not a Starbucks Coffee snob, but have twice stopped at this Sheetz to grab a coffee on my trip to Chalottesville and both times have ended up with hot, slightly brown liquid that had just hint of coffee aroma and absolutely no coffee taste. Most of the time, it's a great experience to fill up before school or work and get some coffee. However, there have been plenty of occasions were it was terrible, it stunk, was nasty and the staff was rude. This is a rare occasion though, things happen. I wish they would allow support for contactless payments such as Apple Pay, Android Pay and so on. The pumps are equipped with it but they block the payment process from going through. If they allowed it, I'd be there almost anytime I need gas or something quick from inside! read more
