I went in for a quick beverage after pumping gas. The service line for speciality drinks moved quickly and the server was very friendly. While traveling on Saturday evening from Florida to NJ passed 9pm with my adult daughter, 2 yrs old, and an 8 yr old rushed into Sheetz to use restroom. i left my cell, money, ID..and key. My daughter left the van w her cell after me leaving behind the baby's binky. Within minutes I realized the keys were locked in the van. I contacted the Sheetz's manager, Chaleah. She most graciously told me to sit n have drinks on them while waiting to for Triple A. Feeling safe, Triple A appeared and than deserted us. He was unable to unlock the van. The Triple A service provider just left us stranded without a word. A Sheetz employee recommended FXBG Keys. Hunter showed up and had doors open with in minutes! I was back on I-95 before midnight. Boo-yah! Time for the ol' trusty default three star Yelp gas station check list: Good price? Who knows, the visits were back in August and in April but either way it was less than the gas tax hell of PA but way more than what it should be. Did I trip over any random tire shards, radiator parts or left behind wing nuts? No runs, no hits and no errors. Place looks on the newer side and everything was gas station clean. Easy on/off to the highway/road of my choosing? It couldn't be any easier to get off/on 95 in either direction. On a sidebar for all of you history dorks out there, instead of making a right turn out of the Sheetz lot to head back towards 95, if you turn left and go down Mudd Tavern Road, in about ten minutes you get to the small NPS site: Stonewall Jackson Death Site. Super easy to find as there is literally nothing in that direction for miles aside from a few random houses. Human intervention needed? Thankfully, no. Close to I95 and Dominion Raceway. When you need to get a sandwich, this works quite well. Gas prices yesterday were higher than expected. This might be related to nearby development, as a once rural area is growing fast. Still the price was the same, or slightly less than other nearby stations. That alone and with its numerous pumps, gives it an ease advantage. Clean store and bathrooms. Friendly and efficient staff. There were some good deals on candy bars. When my son and I travel, we appreciate any discount. This is a good looking Sheetz. They are consistent, and I like this and their other locations. read more

Over the last few months the food srervice here has gotten much worse. The last time I got lunch here was the worst by far. The $11 burrito I purchased was the smallest one I have ever received. When I said something to the store they said that it is what it is and blamed me for not ordering meat on the burrito. I told them that I will take don't worry about it, but I won't be shopping here again and they said they wouldn't worry about it. I hate to use the term shrinkflation.... I try my best to remain fair in my assessments of establishments- as a Yelp elite member I have seen the best, the worst, and the UGLY. And this place is in the latter category. In fact if I could give it negative 1,000 stars I would. I was here for a bus layover and ordered a seemingly simple meal - chicken sub - after waiting 19 minutes (I kid you not) still not done. Is this fast food or slow food establishment. Probably the latter. Strike one. When I approached the manager and asked about the wait they essentially brushed me off and scolded me. Strike two. I went to the cashier to get a refund. She proceeded to tell me it wasn't possible. That I had to buy another sandwich and then she'd refund that. So you're telling me to buy TWO sandwiches but you'd refund ONE. Does this make any sense to anyone? She talked to me like I was an idiot immigrant when in fact I am not. I was appalled and left and plan to take this up with corporate instead. That's the last time I ever go to a Sheetz. read more

My fiancee loves Sheetz. He is not from Virginia and is new to the brand and he thinks they are great. So, naturally, whenever we are driving on long trips and see a Sheetz, we're stopping for snacks and coffee and gas. So we stopped here while driving up to DC for the weekend and found it to be nice, large, and well-stocked as far as food, drinks, snacks, etc. They had all the usual things we'd come to expect and a nice fresh food order area off to the side of the main registers. All was going well until we got into the car and tasted our coffees - SO gross. Burnt. Disappointing because Sheetz has those cool brew as you order machines that grind and make the coffee super fresh. I don't know what was up with these particular machines but they were bad. So bad my fiancee, who drinks his coffee black and plain, wouldn't touch it. Even with the 4 creamer and sugar in mine (yes I'm 12) - mine was nasty too. read more

On my way to Northern Virginia I stopped at Sheetz. Mainly because I was having a chap stick emergency....I couldn't find mine....and a snack. It was right off the exit. They have all the snacks and food you would expect from a gas station and more. Your typical chips and candy and sodas and waters. They also have a grab and go section full of sandwiches, wraps, fruit, cheese....if you wanted healthier options they have them. They also have made to order food so I opted for that. Self service ordering. I got 2 sliders for $4.99 but everything is extra. Everything!! I never even had to speak to anyone. I ordered. My number was called. Got my food and left. Nice touch when they added a free cookie. Very nice. The sliders were ok. What you would expect. The place was very clean. They also have a little bit of everything. Chapstick. Cough medicine. Advil. Shampoo. Not a lot of choices but you can get what you need. Feel the need to take a pregnancy test.....Sheetz has you. A little bit of everything. I would go back. read more

I wish we had Sheetz near me! Always clean, well-staffed, fair gas prices, and I really, REALLY like some of their food! Due to a big fire on I95, we were stuck in traffic for 2 hours; imagine my delight to see that the exit used by VDOT for the detour put us out at a Sheetz! I go to get a slushee that says ready to serve and it is basically straight liquid, the rest were the same. So I went to the sodas and the ratio was also incorrect where there was not enough. I turned it on for 2 seconds max and the entire cup was fizz. So I went to find a bottle of soda, and they did not have what I was looking for. read more

I grew up in Central PA where Sheetz started. They were great back in the day. Even now most are pretty good as far as service and cleanliness. With the exception of one store along Interstate 95 I stopped at last year the Sheetz off exit 118 in Thornburg, VA is the worst. Outside trash is almost always full and over flowing. Parking lot always has trash on it. The staff are... well... terrible. I was excited to see Sheetz come to my exit but very disappointed in this store. I tried to call 5 times yesterday to see if they sold Kerosene at their location. 5 times! I let the phone ring until it quit. No one would answer. Most folks who live here know the deal but the wary traveler most likely just does not care. Gas and go... however if you live near by and have other choices I expect most to go somewhere else. read more
