The league is great and offers soccer for all ages. There are plenty of fields for soccer. My daughter has been having a great time playing here this fall. There is a small snack bar with hot and cold drinks and basic pre packaged snacks if you get hungry during watching the games.

This park went through a facelift that was completed in May 2023, and it now includes a cool splash pad, a modern playground, picnic shelter and other amenities. I love a new playground, and I love when the city invests in parks, because it means it is investing in families. My only beef is that this playground has zero shade, unless you're lucky enough to be sitting in the shaded picnic shelter. When we visited, it was a bright, sunny day, and not only was there no shade for the parents and caregivers to stand under, but the playground equipment was hot to the touch, and my children -- who will typically ignore things like hot monkey bars in the name of fun -- gave up on playing after a short while because the bars were just too hot on their hands. It's a shame, because the playground equipment looked super fun. So maybe this is a playground to visit on cooler days. This park is located right on the Monon Trail, so you can see people running as you're playing at the park. It's just south of a great place to get coffee (Provider), so if you need a little pick-me-up before you watch your children play on the playground, you know where to go.

The complex is home to Northeast Youth Soccer League, FC Pride Soccer Club, Cathedral other amenities; home High School, Lawrence Central High School and Bishop Chatard High School. When there is events, tournaments or other happenings going on the complex's snack bar will more than likely be open. They carry your typical snack bar stuff like candy, drinks, and hot dogs. Outside of vast green space, and soccer fields, some of which were lighted, you will also find a nice paved path that goes around the fields. I saw a few people using it to work out while I was there. The fields appeared to be a bit neglected while I was there. Some of the, had rash and used water bottles and needed to be mowed. A decent place to host soccer games, especially tournaments. The complex is massive. There is tons of parking, divided between a couple of lots. I hope I caught it off season or on a bad day and that they normally do periodic maintenance and up keep of the fields and complex, which is my only major gripe.

It is located behind Tindley…read moreSummit Academy and has a playground, basketball and tennis courts, a football field, a pond, greenspace, and a fairly freshly updated playground. DuBarry's ponds are stocked with fish by Indiana DNR. There is a bathroom facility, though it's not always available. The park is located in a residential area and is utilized fairly well. When I worked for a youth mentoring agency, we would often meet some of our youths in this park. There's a decent shelter with picnic tables and a nicely done, short walking trail that I consider wheelchair friendly. DuBarry now has 3 pickleball courts, though there are no nets or backstops (there are posts for a net - which means if you have the net you could easily use it here). In 2024, a funding for a new splash pad was noted. DuBarry has seen sporadic issues with violence - most noteworthy a double killing of two teenagers in 2022 - Isaiah Jackson and Da'vonta White (ages 15, 14). While I think that's worth mentioning, I've never felt unsafe in the area and I have multiple friends who regularly visit and use the trail at this park without any concerns.

They have a small picnic shelter with some picnic tables under it. There is also a small bathroom facility that was locked when I was there. You will find 2 very nice full basketball courts. The rims are lower than regulation, which I am cool with and the court is nice and smooth. The park also has a huge field with uprights on both ends, so you can host football games, soccer games, play catch, work out, fly a kit or do other field activities. There are also a few other pockets of green space around the park to do activities as well. There is decent paved walkways around the park hat can be used for jogging or walking. The park also features a small lake. That was very popular with neighborhood fishermen. The park is somewhat well maintained but there is pockets of areas that are trashed. The parking lot had a lot of burned candles and disposed food containers. There is also an excessive amount of goose poop all over the park and especially under the covered shelter and on the paved walkway. There are 4 decent small tennis courts there and they would be very nice if they had nets. There are benches behind the courts and on the basketball court's baseline. The highlight of the park has to be its playground. It has two colorful large jungle gyms with slides and rock climbing walls. There is also a unity teeter tunnel see-saw, a bank of traditional swings, some little kid cars, a ski like thing, a mulitspinner carousel, a forest giraffe and stand & spin. The play area is lined with wood chips and the equipment is in good repair. This park has recently been in the news and has had its safety called into question. The candles in the parking lot, are from what I am assuming was the vigil held there. But that was 2 months ago. Anyway, I felt pretty safe while I was there, but I was not there long. This is a nice park. I think the issue that it had in March is an outlier. Outside of people fishing, I was the only one at the park. I had it all to myself. If you can get past the security issues, it is a nice park and definitely worth a visit.

He does not remember the first time we took them, but I was blown away by the caliber of this outdoor space (and museum, of course). The sports park is divided into sections dedicated to basketball, football, baseball, hockey, soccer, racing, and had a quarter mile track that looped around the perimeter. Everything is super interactive and educational. Not to mention, the enormous treehouse! The weather was beautiful and we clocked three hours outdoors! Highly recommended for kids of all ages... including adults.

There is also 2 very nice full basketball courts. The park also touts a large sledding hill and handball court. The sled hill is huge and is located behind the play area. The handball area is on the backside of tennis courts. You will find 4 picnic shelters with picnic tables under them here and an awesome bathroom facility co located with the large shelter. Near the front of the park next to one of the shelters are 3 very nice and well maintained sets of corn hole boards. They are very impressive. The park has a fenced in splash pad that looks pretty cool. They have benches around the perimeter for parents to sit and watch the littles. In the warmer months it is open daily from 9 AM to 7 PM. The center piece of the park is it playground area. It is lined with rubber matting and turf. It also has shade awnings and some new age equipment. There is a bank of swings that has a traditional swing, a toddler swing, and an expression swing. There are a couple of saucer swings, a universal carousel, a bunch of net climbers, a couple of slides, a 4-square course, a see-saw, some percussion instruments, and a whirl and twirl. I must say, the equipment looks straight out of an Ikea catalog. There are a few benches in this area for parents to sit and watch their kids. The park's paved fitness/jogging trail is awesome. It is well paved and has dog poop stations placed along the route. There is a huge parking lot for the park and they have even added a little bridge that connects the back parking spots with the park, crossing over a little prairie area. In addition to all that, the park has a few green space pockets that are suitable for playing catch, a pick up football game, a soccer match, flying a kite or other similar activities. The park is one of the nicer ones that I have visited and I like that the play are does not have dirt or mud. It is very well maintained and in good shape. I hope to make it back to this park when the splash pad is operational and get the full experience.

Hidden gem of a wonderland in Whitestown. Amazing climbing structures, swings, slides, splash pad,…read moretennis and pickle ball courts, corn hole, merry-go-round and much more. There are many many sensory and musical structures for learning. This is the nicest playground I have ever visited - hands down. My granddaughter did not want to leave. The playground is about two years old and is kept immaculate by the park service. There is a soft mat under all structures incase the kids fall. There is parking for about a hundred cars, but we were here alone today in the early morning. The facilities are open dawn til dusk. All facilities are totally accessible and stroller friendly. There are swings designed for special needs visitors. There are structures for all ages groups. A number of canopies are arranged across the structures to provide shade. There are awesome unisex and family restroom facilities and four picnic pavilions. There are plenty of benches surrounding the park for parents to relax. There are also plenty of strategically place trash receptacles. Courts and pavilions appear to be first come first serve. There is a nice sidewalk-running path around the park with amenities for dog clean up. Covid guidelines are posted and the park is smoke free. We will be regulars. Well worth the trip.

The indoor soccer facilities are fine…read more One main reason it's not five stars: Not enough parking. They pack the games back to back to back. There's enough parking for one set of parents/players. But if a game ends at 11am and another game starts at 11:10am, the later game's players, coaches, and parents will arrive at 10:55am or so while the earlier game's vehicles are still in the lot. No parking spaces and people end up parking on the grass, in the lot next door, etc. And guess what happens at 11:15am? Earlier game's vehicles leave and spots open up. I don't have a solution for this other than a bigger lot.

There is playground area for the children. They have a tennis court and a baseball field. There is a public bathroom out there. The park was clean and no trash flying around from people littering. The only parking by the pavilion was the street parking which was in front of the residence of the neighborhood or there was a parking lot further away from the pavilion.
