The center director cares more about your payment than she does about your child! SCDC used to be a good place for the kids but over the last few months things have gone downhill fast. Kids are always getting hurt and the director doesn't seem to care. Good teachers have all left because of the way the director treated them and now all of the teachers are people who are unqualified or just don't care about the kids. The turnover rate is the highest I've ever seen so there is no stability for the kids. Overall I just do not recommend this place. Find somewhere - anywhere - else. read more

ZERO Stars! Do not take your kids here! Extremely high turnover with staff. Staff truly do not care and neither does the owner Amanda. They are not held accountable in the least. I've witnessed multiple teachers screaming at children and she always makes an excuse. They do not follow the posted menu. She tells different parents different things about all sorts of stuff. The take the kids water cups away to wash them between 3:30 and 4pm even when it's 90+ degrees outside and still make them go outside after 4 so the teachers can clean their rooms. They do not offer drink outside. Kids come home hot, sweaty, dirty, thirsty, and hungry. There was a teacher there that was hurting kids and other teachers knew but didn't say anything about it. Or if they did Amanda didn't do anything about it. We were told it was one child but according to the state report it was multiple. Before we left there my four year old started crying not to go. He said they told him he was bad everyday. His teacher, Barbara, told me that she hoped I knew better than believing everything that came out of a four olds mouth. That I was feeding into him. The owner Amanda told me after that that if I was unhappy we should leave. After we left my son told me he never wants to go back there and that she would hit his butt before she put him in time out. read more

I DO NOT recommend this daycare. My child was bit almost 10 times in his first month of attending this center. I was understanding and probably too understanding due to the fact that I know young children go through a phase of biting at times. I had to complain to teachers to be notified of when this occurred and never received any kind of incident report. I reached out consistently to the director only to be told that she was not there or that she was "in a meeting". The children here are just a paycheck to the director and their care and wellbeing are not a top priority. My son came home nose dried with snot covered in snack/lunch and twice with his socks and shoes soaking wet. I've driven by to see teachers laying down on slides outside sunbathing instead of watching the children. On top of all this we received no understanding or patience (despite all the patience that was given to them) when we had an issue with our account being hacked. The director did not want to hear an explanation she just wanted her money. We paid what we owed in cash as we were told we were "no longer allowed to write checks to her" she proceeded to take the cash AND cashed the check that she informed us would not be cashed. Now she refuses to refund back the money because we removed our son from their care without a two weeks notice and we owe her for the two weeks notice. Which is in their policy (three pieces of paper stapled together) that I DID sign but I signed under the impression that my child would be cared for. The policy mentions a two weeks notice but not a payment for those two weeks. It says FINAL payment which to me is the final week my child is cared for there. Would you leave your child for another two weeks after all this? I have never been so sorely disappointed in a facility as I am right now. read more
