I needed to find a pet sitter to care for my babies in October because my regular pet sitter was…read moregoing on vacation the same week as I. I interviewed Tiffany and felt like she had a good attitude with my pets and they seemed to like her as well. I was a little concerned that she had not written down any care notes during out initial meet and greet but I figured all would be fine as I would leave written instruction on the counter anyway. This week, I and my husband took a day trip and I decided to try her for a mid-day visit. I asked her to let my dogs out for a bathroom break and to feed my two cats and give one of my cats his insulin injection. I had left care instructions on the counter to feed each of my two cats 1/4 can of Fancy Feast when she administers the insulin injection to my diabetic cat. I left the two little bowls and the can of food on the counter and the pre-filled insulin syringe in the fridge. I had also posted notes on all my doors reminding her to keep the laundry and garage doors closed because my washer/dryer are huge and too heavy to move if one of the cats happens to jump behind them and refuses to come out plus I did not want one or both to get trapped in the laundry room after she left the house. According to my motion cam alert, Tiffany arrived for the visit on time. She sent me a text update that she'd given my cat his insulin and a picture of each of my dogs. In one photo, I noticed that the laundry room door was wide open. I tapped into my security cameras live feed and sure enough the door was left wide open and one of my cats was wandering round in the laundry room. I immediately texted her and asked that she close the laundry room door. I watched as she shooed my cat out and promptly shut the door. Tiffany texted me approximately 20 minutes later to inform me that all was well and she was leaving the house now. When I returned home, I picked up my cats bowls to wash......one bowl had the residual food in it that I expected after my cats eat, but the second cat bowl was sitting empty on the counter and appeared to be completely clean and unused. I smelled it and it did not have any cat food odor to it. I asked her if she had placed food in both bowls or just one....she texted back saying "both." Later in the evening I spoke to a friend I had recommended her to. He had hired her the day before for a mid-day break for his dog that is crated for long periods of time when he is at work. He has motions cams in his home as well and he advised me that she had only stayed with his dog for 10 minutes. That made me wonder, so I reviewed my cameras and saw that although she was at my home for 20 minutes, she had actually only spent approximately 9 to 10 minutes with my pets also. She basically entered my home, let my one dog out to potty, fed my cat and administered his insulin.....brought my one dog back in and let my second dog out, then went outside to sit in her car with her kids, then come back in 7 minutes later to bring my dog in and left. No pet interaction whatsoever. Later that night, I was washing my pets dinner bowls and afterward I turned the disposal on and it made a loud racket. I turned it off immediately thinking I accidently dropped a spoon or fork down the drain and I poked my finger when I reached inside to remove whatever it was. I got a flashlight to look down the drain and saw the insulin syringe in the drain. I thought that she probably left it sitting on the counter and one of the cats played with it and batted it into the sink where it fell into the drain. No real harm, but what if they had knocked it onto the floor and one of my dogs chewed and swallowed it? At the initial meet and greet I was told that visits lasted 20 minutes and included, feeding, fresh water, clean up accidents, scoop litter box, pick up mail and playtime. Based on how my visit went, I would NOT recommend this company for your pet care needs. I'm very thankful that I found this out BEFORE I hired her for my extended vacations in the next couple of months.
